Well now everyone from the top down is TRYING TO CORRECT THIS. That doesn't happen day #1 it doesn't necessarily happen year #1 just like it didn't under butch. We were a joke within two years when I first got here and thats because we didn't have anything that enabled us to compete. We got the right pieces in and we grew together day by day month by month year by year. So allow us the time to grow if you actually wanna see this team get better. It is that simple. It's not some overnight thing.

At times I was impatient with Butch and that was wrong. Players and coaches never quit on Butch.

Last year both players and coaches quit on Mario. That was my biggest disappointment.

I think the best coaches are those who can out coach the man on the other sideline. We don't look for great coaches, but rather coaches who have ties to UM. I have a problem with that. You don't. You do you.

Well thank you for your 42 years but if you were being real with yourself you wouldn't say that at all. You just won't say he was the best possible candidate for us and our needs. We've gone outside of um ties for quite awhile and that did us no good since Dennis either. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not it takes a certain type of dude to run this program.

I personally lived that... You know why we never quit on butch? Because we were Butch's guys. He recruited us. He gave us our shot and he coached every last one of us up. You can't say the same thing out of Mario in year #1. These weren't his guys and that's the problem. Our players and coaches were just as soft candy asses as our fans. That's the problem in itself. Y'all think they all gave up on Mario when reality is they all gave up on themselves. Whether they hit or miss the only ones who have to live with it long term is them. We've been surrounded by pansies who don't have that drive in them. That's rapidly changing.

Manny created an environment where he was a super fan and he wanted to be buddies with the kids. He wanted to be their friend. he was also a lazy recruiter. Mario is a old school. hes a goon. lol He really cares about the kids. he knows talent and develops it. Watch the kids like wes, kelly, etc. and how they develop. Watching all the kids who ran to smu tells you all you need to know. Dee is on point with this. more kids will be gone by fall.

On every other part of this program though, **** yes. An “Ill believe it when I see it”attitude is completely warranted considering the product weve seen for too many years…including and especially last year. Im done believing reports and Greentree hoopla. Show me.

Yea I was only talking about on the field …as far as recruiting goes I agree, plus it’s still early…anyone freaking out in July is silly

I hear you …I just wouldn’t want you spending too much time on things I agree with you on anyways but maybe some other folks needed to hear that too

While what you’re saying is true, I still think absolutely none of that should stop a Miami fan from taking an “I’ll believe it when I see it” approach. And I’m not sure why ppl would get worked up over someone who does. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to see this team get better and succeed and it’s nothing personal against Mario.

Personally I believe in him and think it’s a only matter of time , but I still expected more last year and will temper back a little going forward

I suppose it matters what you allow yourselves to see. All the same to say I wanna see it first is one thing. To say I wanna see it first and until I do I'm gonna drop a steaming pile of dog **** on everything we do is something seperate entirely. Those are the people I have issue with. The ones who feel the need to **** on everything & everyone cause they set some sky high expectations when anyone near the program all told y'all it's a process and let's tame it back. Y'all's problems is you believed people that don't have **** to do with nothing when they told you we are set and all we needed was the right coach to straighten us out. As most have said all along this really did need to be burnt to the ground before it was built back up. No one foresaw how bad we would be last year nor how horribly the staff would work together. But Mario saw it same as us and he got rid of them. He went out and brought in people most assume will be good matches. (Just like he did last year) so let's all see how it works. But no need to drag everyone down with yall if we choose to see this as progress. CAUSE IT IS.
 
Honestly the only thing that I think could hold us back (or put us way over the top too) over these next 3-5 years is going to be whoever our QB is... or if Dawson gets promoted to a HC position.

I'm confident every single position group is going to be far superior than anything we have had in like 20 years. I'm pretty confident in these Coordinators. The facilities are about to be at top of CFB level when completed, along with the campus itself taking a massive leap over everyone else with our new dorms. The most important factor in the next 2 years or so with be if Mario can land an Elite Qb. We do that and I think we're definitely making a run for it all.
