I could be wrong, but I believe he signed the JUCO LOI back in December. If that is the case, we would have to release him before he could sign elsewhere.

This. I feel like thats why we get gashed on D so bad in the first place. We're constantly bumping LBs out of the box instead of rolling safety's down to cover slot guys. I feel like we ALWAYS have 2 deep safeties and our D either has only 6/7 in the box
