There are a lot of moving parts right now including conferences stepping in and saying guys who singed any kind of pro contract won't be eligible. That's been in the context of NFL players but logically guys who have started their NBA careers would be in the same boat. There's still more conference, NCAA, and court stuff to shake out. So I'd say it's pretty up in the air right now.
 
with whats going on at LSU right now, i would say its unlikely Reneau plays this upcoming season. Didnt he sign a contract with the magic?

He signed an Exhibit 10 which is very different from a standard contract. It's a glorified lightly paid tryout. But I'm guessing the ACC won't make a distinction. It still needs to play out but at this point I would bet against him being on the team this year. Hope I'm wrong.

Malik Reneau is now ineligible to return to Miami

Well that sucks. We all wanted him back for next season. We were all already excited about next years team but for a week or 2...we were already planning on having Malik back and having the deepest team in Miami history. It sucks but this team is still loaded with talent. Let's make a run!

Would have been this cherry on top but this is already the deepest team (on paper) that I can remember and should firmly be in the top 15-20 to start the season.
 
A judge can award a fifth but it's unclear if he can order enrollment. Schools could enroll but not offer NIL
 
NCAA is bringing in the white shoe lawyers to fight all of this. You'd hate to plan your season around a guy being in the rotation then lose him at the last minute.

If the Big East pays these pro returnees and nobody else allows it, why would you play a Big East school this season?
