B/c I swear there were many a slurper who claimed:

1) the AD micromanaged him
2) the boosters wanted him to use an old ineffective offense, "just bc thats how its done at Georgia"
3) they were foolish

Now, after seeing three years of Richt at Miami, does anyone actually believe these idiotic made up bull**** excuses??????

I mean how absolutely stupid could you be to believe it was anything other than he isn't an elite coach anymore and couldn't get it done? And yet our admin and boosters, in their neverending FVCKUP nature, not only scooped this burnt out has been right up, but they extended him to 2023.

Day 1 when he started talking how he wanted be the OC again I was immediately skeptical. Blake was on a major hot seat because of giving Al Golden to much time, he really did not have much leverage and just needed to make a HR hire to calm down the fanbase. So that's why we're in the current situation we're in, where he can go off-grid and hire his son and make him the OC 🤦

It's easy to see why AD micromanaged him and I wish our AD would do the same.

Basically. it all makes sense now. They were seeing the same thing we're seeing now. Richt can't build a championship contender by himself. Look at some of the hires he has made here.

it doesnt make sense now....:it made sense THEN! smfh people just chose to ignore it or were too stupid to understand.

I mean look at the hires.. everyone but Dugans was questionable at best. Some were just down right awful in previous stops. Only Brown has exceeded expectations. UGA was stopping Richt from hiring his son and to instead hire an actual QB coach who understands you don't skip a year recruiting QBs or else you end up with Malik Rosier has your only option at QB.

And by the way. I dont want to hear about how Richt wants to be here. He was given that opportunity after 2006 and he told us to kick rocks.

This is his early retirement. And we all have to deal with miserable ball for another 5 years while he collects a check for doing nothing.

$h!t that pi$$ed me off was hiring Patke as the 10th coach...Barrow would've been the perfect hire, could've killed 2 stones with Him as the LB, ST coach. And then He hired a Jawja HS coach to replace Kuligowski...too much fuqin cronyism.

All Richt cares about is getting son Jon into an OC position. Richt isn’t going to hire an OC as long as he’s grooming his kid. Richt can’t call a game. We see why he didn’t at Georgia. And Rosier speaks for itself. They should refund season ticket purchases if they are going to treat you to that crap. The U gave Richt the key to the city and it’s going to be good for Richt and Jon in the end.

I disagree with this. Richt is a loyal guy who would have finished his career at UGA. We dealt with miserable ball under Coker, Shannon and Golden. Richt will get you 9 wins regularly with the occasional 10. He's a B/B+ coach.

We will be waiting forever if the end goal is to get Jon an OC spot. Unless we are subjected to the horror of that here.

he wasnt loyal to his school—until he was unemployed of course

he got us our first bowl win in how many years? he got us 10 wins for first time in how many years?
hes a bagely missed xp away from potentional being 2-0 against FSU and he beat a top 5 team last year.

BUT this game was a HUGE step backwards.

There are several reasons Georgia fired him and they were on display last night. It was a half *** hire to appease the fan base by making it look like we got a big name. He couldn't win the big one at Georgia but it's ok to take a guy like that at Miami?

He runs this **** like a family business and the one thing that isn't on him is the admin won't pay up for a real staff.

Richt is your worst nightmare. Just good enough to not get fired. He will hang onto that job as long as he wants it and never, ever get his team over the hump.

If you’re going to play that game we are 2 flukey , miracle Daniel Langham catches from none of the things you mentioned ever happening .

Check out the big brain on Brian.

Read the comments of that link. That Miami team is a mirror image of UGA under Richt.

As far as I know, there was never any intention for Richt to hire his son. No UGA fans are aware he wanted to hire him. He knew that after the Bama debacle in 2015, his time was over. Plans were already being made behind to scenes to remove him before the season was done. Him wanting to hire his son was NEVER mentioned to anyone from anything I’ve ever heard.
