Where do you realistically see this team finishing this season, based on what you've seen so far and how you are feeling right now, at this moment?

We're 2-2 right now, with the entire season ahead of us and basically controlling our own destiny in the Coastal if we were to win out.

Remaining games, for reference:
10/5 Home vs. VT
10/11 (Fri night), vs. UVA
10/19 vs. Georgia Tech
10/26 @ Pitt
11/2 @ FSU
11/9 vs. Louisville
11/23 @ FIU (Marlins Park)
11/30 @ Duke

Where we at, and what happens from here?

To answer your question though, ( I answered 8-4) I think we lose to UVA & Pitt. I think we have the ability to win out but it seems to ask a lot for what the teams shown us thus far. They show spurts but again based on what we've seen that's expecting a lot. My 2 cents about everything just has me feeling like the basics to our team just doesn't seem easy. Wherever people think the blame falls so be it, but until in my opinion I see us get the basics down and it doesn't look so dang hard that's how i see the season playing out.
 
I have been harping 4-8 since game 2. I hope and pray Manny proves me wrong. For the better, of course!
 
I seriously want to be POSITIVE and all that. But after witnessing that EMBARRASSING narrow home victory over mighty Central Michigan. I have to change my previous " 10-2 " tout and go with 8-4. Ouch. And I'm being GENEROUS with that prediction! LOL

I realistically think the rest of the schedule will look about like this-

Favorites (2-0)
Louisville
FIU

Could go either way (2-1)
VT
GT
Duke

Slight underdogs (1-2)
UVA
Pitt
FSU


I really don't think things are going to get much better this year. The O line is just too young and ineffective, every game is going to be a struggle.

We might be pretty decent next year though as long as we don't totally roll over and have some confidence in an older o line and qb in 2020.

I said 8-4, but wouldn't bet money on that.

VT - Hangover / UNC type prep, Foster dials up Oline destruction, despite all their struggles, play action penos no adjusty.
UVA - just better coached team; don't make as many mistakes, we're shell shocked.
GT - By virtue of how not good they are, we 'rebound'
Pitt - Better team right now, period.
FSU - Better ability to score early, get us in a hole we don't quite come back from this year. sorry.
UL - Just throwing in another win somewhere between this one and VT or Duke, even though they look no worse than us RN.
FIU - because I now hate Butch because of CIS, but really they are about as good as CMU, soooo....
Duke - Better coached team, we're in DGAF mode at this point.

That's basically what I have, except I have us losing to Louisville and beating Duke.

Very. CMU didn't even play well and we nearly lost to them. That's is frighteningly bad. FSU very well might destroy us, and they are a dumpster fire. We might save Willie's job. All those people wanting Willie to stay forever might get their wish. Losing to that clown every year will be the death of UM football.

Here's the truth....we probably play at least 1 more game like we played at CMU, maybe 2 more like CMU. Depending on who we play we may or may not survive with the W. I think we'll split those two games where we look bad.

We win every other game where we play well, which i think will be 6 of the remaining 8 games. GT, VT, Duke, FIU, Louisville i think we win going away.

UVA...I know i know i'm crazy right?

If we can split Pitt and FSU i think we might go to Charlotte with a chance at 10 W's. We drop 2-3 out of Pitt, FSU, UVA we don't go and we dont get to 10
 
I'm with the majority: Cautious 8-4 record assuming we get something going. UVA, Pitt and (of course) FSU are 50/50 or worse, unfortunately.
Someone better get "Michael's secret stuff" for these boys because we're looking rough.

8-4, with 7-5 or 9-3 being possible depending on how we play against the Virginia’s. I think we probably lose at least 2 out of UVA, Pitt, and FSU. However, if we somehow sweep the Virginia’s, I think we’re in good shape.
