Referees cheated us

I’m not sure it would change just because we change conferences.

Remember that we were Independent when the Miami Rule was implemented.

Name something the ACC has done to benefit UM?

In addition, the bias is real.

Last, I'm not against becoming an independent again, enjoy some of the liberties ND has because of it.

I think you misunderstand me. I’ve been a huge advocate for leaving the ACC. I’m one of the most active posters in the Conference Realignment thread.

However, I don’t believe that our referee situation will change if and when we do leave the ACC.

These are two separate issues.

It is the cherry on the cake, not the main issue. I think Miami has name brand appeal that it doesn't need to negotiate TV deals through a conference. I think Miami could augment what ND did with NBC and be the ND / Miami network deal NBC might be looking for to supplement the ND deal. That would be real mother fuggin money right there.

I don't think getting into another conference really helps Miami in the grand scheme of things. The penalties is only one side of it.

What did the ACC do to back us up against Wisky? What did the ACC do to help us with the NCAA. What have they done to help us on anything.

The ACC treats UM like a red headed step child compared to FSU, Clemson and the Carolina schools. ****, some of the newer ACC schools have gotten more backing than UM (playoffs last year).

I could go on an on, but I was trying to keep it high level. The penalties are the least of my concern, but they **** me off the most.

Again, I don’t disagree with regard to the conference issue. You’re preaching to the choir. And I think you’d struggle to find a Miami fan who wants to stay in the ACC.

But this is page 9 of a thread about penalties, so forgive me, but I thought we were talking about the penalty issue here.

I’ve said this before, in previous threads earlier this season, that change needs to be made at a higher level, because there is a bigger issue with referees in CFB. Miami does have a bigger problem than most, but as there is a nationwide issue, nationwide reform is needed*. Miami could be a leader and help lead this reform. Many also forget that it is not just the ACC that screws us; the SEC refs took Marty’s TD away in the UF game in September (and that is just an example from this year).

Given the ACC’s lackadaisical attitude and willingness to just go along with whatever ESPN says, even if it ***** their members schools in the ***, going through the ACC for anything to attempt to enact change is clearly pointless. If Miami wants something done, it needs to be at a higher level. We should lead a group of other schools from all conferences, form a committee, and make it happen at a national level

*I have posted Josh Pate’s videos in those earlier threads, but for anyone who hasn’t seen them, he explains why officiating across all of CFB is broken.

merely answered the reply questions you asked me. Nothing more. I was good leaving it simply "leave the ACC", but for some reason, you liked whispering more sweet nothings into my ears.

Turns out jerry is the same guy that had his crew suspended from that miami duke game

Also, only 4 holding calls called against Miami opponents this season.

We have one of the best D-lines in the country and we never get the calls because every O-Line we play are NFL lines, apparently.

Thinking about whats come out about the ufc makes me think there's zero chance some of these games aren't cooked. Not even miami specifically but with all that money on the line and all these different games I just can't imagine all this **** is above board with some of these game changing calls.
It’s so easy to fix
Games have been fixed for decades by officials imo
Referees in basketball do the same
They are paid off or blackmailed and they make or don’t make the calls accordingly

It’s WIDE SPREAD
