Referees cheated us

Go back and watch the play. If brown just runs forward he gets the first down. He was hunting for the big play instead of just getting the 1 yard. The TE held his block

Saw that. It was the Trader PI. Literally said sorry.

And prior to that, on the garbage PI called against us, the flag wasn’t coming out until Freeman started yelling right in his ear.

Glad this isn’t a focal point because we won …. But it’s so hard not to think the refs intentionally were helping ND get back in it.

1) Not an awful call but you could have called that on ND all night
2) The replay guys did a poor job showing it but Poyser grabbed him coming out of the break. The aggravating part was 3 similar plays not getting called on ND
3) I only remember the 1 on the goal line stand and it was ridiculous. Haven't seen that called since a high school game in 1993.
4) That was bizarre. You see holding and you throw the flag or you don't. I don't understand overruling with "I don't think it was holding Bob."
5) I'm not sure what you're referring to. But I thought for sure there were gonna give them 1 second there at the end for a miracle lateral play attempt but surprisingly they didn't.

Look, vs ND you *always* have to figure in referee shenanigans. It's just how it is. I'm not even sure they do consciously. We overcame it. And it honestly could have been worse.

Our young WRs need to a better job of selling PI. Even if you don't really think it was you work the refs early and often. It really does make a difference.

Your photo shows I was right. They have 50 dudes there in the middle. He may not get the first down. There’s no daylight. The play looked to be intended to go off Cici, but the D-end crashed so hard there is no daylight there and there is no room there.47 makes that play easily there because we have been running this same play for 3 years now. Where the TE comes across and makes the Wham block. But when there is no threat for QB to keep it and everyone knows it is coming the End can crash down and blow it up. He may have seen a hole to the left since they crashed inside so hard. But unfortunately lost his footing. This play is on the coaches for lack of creativity. Putting 20 bodies in the tackle box to try and get 2 years is neanderthal football

Sure, but I could clearly observe jersey being pulled and I'm in the upper deck. It was an easy call. I have to assume whatever ref should have made that call had a bad angle because it was clear.

Yea there were 3 that are usually called PI and 2 of those were fairly egregious. I'm just saying there are ways to sell it (flailing to exaggerate contact, etc) and it often works. It at least makes them more likely to flag it next time. I think it's something KB should teach.

I am sorry Stevie....if you cant see it I dont know what to tell you. Go watch the play. The TE stops 47 right where he is. If Brown goes were he is supposed to he gets the first down. He sure as **** wasnt going to get it cutting back.

Lmao that’s crazy since our TE is not # 8 & all you can see in his jersey is 8. Half the defenders body is around the TEs back hence why you cannot see the second part of the jersey number. And he’s two yard behind the LOS. He is beaten.

Exactlyyyyyyyyy!! There was no hold that play. Cooper released his block and the dude fell.
 
It was beyond obvious early that the refs weren't going to call this thing even remotely fairly. ND's corners were allowed to mug Miami receivers, multiple cases of blatant PI were ignored. Once the game was about to get out of control, that's when they really stepped it up. That said, had Miami stayed aggressive, there's a good chance the game gets broken open and the refs wouldn't have been able to do anything about it...

On replay it was clear Brown was trying to cut it back to the left (because ND obviously knew where the play was designed to go: Right Side) when he slipped. ND had a defender in position and ready to stop the cutback. I was ****ed when the play happened in real time, but after seeing the replay it was obvious that play was doomed to fail even if Brown kept his footing.
