I hear peopl complaining about ed Reed wanting to coach and giving him a db coach job but everyone was for rumph a couple years ago. At least we know kids nation wide know who Reed is and would wanna play for a hall of famer
You must have dementia like richt. Rumph has HC at the HS level experience plus has won state championships. You lost grandpa?

Rumph won a state title off a team someone else built up. And where did I say Reed would replace rumph and coach corners? Learn how to read dumbass

If Ed Reed wants to coach dbs for you, you do whatever humanly possible to get him in here. I have no concerns whatsoever about his ability to get guys ready to play, who knows the position better than him? My only concern is if he is willing to commit the time to the coaching grind. If he truly is, you get him here ASAP. The guy is a legend and a guy these kids will want to be around because he is who they want to become one day. He doesn’t need to sell himself, his legendary record speaks volumes all on its own. Who don’t want their kid to play for Ed Reed?

Op forgot where he parked his car. Poor guy walking around the parking lot. Good luck grandpa.

Most great players suck at coaching reasons being their great because of God given abilities. Just because Ed was a legendary player that dont translate into a great teacher. Ed was instinctive u cant teach that. And that's what made him great.
This may be true, but he is a guy you have to roll the dice on if he really is willing top do the work. There are so many fringe benefits to having a guy of his stature on staff on a daily basis. I have no doubt he can teach guys the technique that he mastered, ****, I shouldn't even need to explain why having him here would be so valuable. I swear we have a case of battered wife syndrome around here when it comes to hiring Canes. We have never really hired the right ones though. You can not compare pedestrian Canes like Shannon, Rumph and/or Beard to the legend, Ed Reed.

I think recruits would love to learn under a legend like Ed Reed. Ed is smart and would be a great teacher, role model & motivator. If he's willing to put in the hours and grind, this would be a home run. He would get a ton of attention & immediately generate excitement at every recruiting stop.

Can you really picture Ed going out trying to convince (almost beg) kids to come play for us ? Cause that’s what recruiting is. I don’t see it I think it’s beneath him

Ed's not going to beg.

He has won national championships, super bowl rings, and played on one of the best defenses of all time; in college AND in pro.

Ed Reed has a heart of fire. He's not going to have to sell top DB's very hard.

Imagine the thought going through the mind of a potential recruit getting an in-home from Ed Reed.

Only problem is, what if the unthinkable happened and it didn't work out with Reed.
Who the F wants to sack Ed Reed?

Can you see him really having to beg? I mean we’re not talking about some legend from long ago. These kids grew up watching Reed. I don’t think there is a DB in America that would be able to easily turn down the opportunity to be coached by the greatest to ever do it. Especially here in Miami.

I'm not comparing at all. I'm just point out it's not a sure shot he will a great coach as most say he will. Like for example I think ray lewis will suck as a LB coach and I think a player that had to rely on skill such as a dan Morgan will be a great coach. Reggie Wayne will be a better WR coach than Santana moss. I'll take a guy that relied on skill over natural abilities anyday when it comes to coaching. Ever player not gonna have that elite ability instincts etc.
