I hear peopl complaining about ed Reed wanting to coach and giving him a db coach job but everyone was for rumph a couple years ago. At least we know kids nation wide know who Reed is and would wanna play for a hall of famer

No, people trashed the Rumph hire citing inexperience. I don’t recall a big love fest when he was hired. At that time it was questioned, but most trusted Richt.

Exactly. The only reason y most of us accepted it was due to AH4. When he wiffed on that, it was like y r u here then? When his DBs refused to turn their heads around, it was really y r u here?

You have to call and text them constantly, massage their ego etc .... I don’t think him being a first ballot hall of fame PLAYER isn’t going to convince kids to come here, they care if you can coach them up, the system, etc
 
People were pretty ****ed when Rumph got hired. His only coaching experience was at high school level. Still more actual coaching experience than Reed has though.

Well lets see we can have a coach that thinks its beneath him to text and massage kids egos, is unable to get them to turn their heads around, and is considered the 2nd biggest bust in 49ers history. Or we have a coach that thinks its beneath him to text and massage kids egos, able to teach players to turn their head around, and is the greatest safety in NFL history. Tough choice.

Why would Reed want to coach. Guys like him that have the money he's made don't usually want to give up the perks of retirement by putting themselves through the grind of practice, film watching and recruiting.

Maybe he does or maybe it's just a good idea at the time bc he helps out on occasion. But is that really a career choice he wants to make full-time?

He always tweets about it. he also coached for the bills a couple years ago.

He has been openly saying he wants to come coach at miami that's why we are bringing it up. DJ williams is talking about ed wanting to coach here too
