Redwine the Enforcer

Redwine is now getting the respect he deserves. He played above average last year ... graded out pretty good. He simply did not fit the physical dimensions of our typical Canes safety. For that matter neither does 'Quan Johnson.

Heart can't be measured!

Who would have thought after last season's game (Cam vs. Redwine was NOT pretty), that Redwine would have been the enforcer in this game..

22 having himself a **** fine career at this U.

Definitely a kid with talent and cojones.

Tru CANE

He will go down in Canes history for that hit on Frenchie alone. The stadium went bananas when that happened.

Have to put that hit in the same lore as Barrow on vanover & Taylor on sam hits. One of the most devastating I’ve ever seen in this series. That hit flipped the mo as they say. Change the whole complexion of that game. That’s one for the books. 🙌🏿💯

Once you saw Redwine make it past Finley being blocked by Akers you just knew something big and magical was about to occur. Then boom! He laid Frenchie out hard! It was somewhat funny him standing there wondering where the ball went to after the hit. Luckily GW9 scoped it up and the rest is, as they say, history. Completely changed the complexion of the game, the momentum swung clearly in our favor, and the fan base became energized off of the play.

The hit on the Terry across the middle was great, too.

The WR put in almost no effort going for the ball.

And Redwine has had a couple really athletic INTs this year as well.

He's playing well for us.

He better count his lucky stars Cam picked up Romeo instead of Redwine. He was coming in with some bad intentions.
Yes, as good a hit Redwine put on him, I can’t imagine what lil Romeo would have done at 6’2” 215lbs and a full head of steam

Manny gets a lot of **** here about blitzes but bringing Finley and Redwine like that was beautiful
The difference is that Redwine timed and hid behind Romeo disguising it perfectly. Starting to see that more (not all) of our team’s issues stem from execution rather than scheme.

Vanover and PK didn't come back in the game....

I also noticed that after the Redwine Hit, Frenchie was itchy in the pocket and not comfortable. The DEs helped with that too, but, Redwine reinforced it and the rest is history!!!

I’ve been Redwines number 1 supporter. Glad he’s
shutting you losers up that talked down on him. Does he make mistakes absolutley but guess what. They’re god **** aggressive ones.

Pretty much this. Yeah he may make mistakes, and yeah he may get beat by people just a little better than him sometimes. But the dude plays his ****** heart out and is a Cane to the core

Redwine had a great game, however, he missed an easy interception on 15's TD. Ball skills still need work.

Yeah man he’s a big play guy. I felt like he was struggling in the first half (like most of the team I guess) but he always has that ability to change the game.
The key to that one, and any really good blitz, was the timing by Redwine. Something we've been really bad at is tipping our hand and allowing the QB ample time to recognize the blitz and make the appropriate adjustments.

On this one, Finley was bait. He caused Frenchy to slide protection to account for him, and that left a massive hole for Redwine who timed the gap perfectly.

that redwine blitz is one of those things that will be giving OCs fits for the rest of the season. practically unblockable
