Redwine’s Message To Fans

Well, if you live in this town, you know the fans here are fair-weather and bandwagon fans. The field at Hard Rock should be named Fair Weather Field in light of the fickle South Florida fan base.

I think it was a jab directly to the face of the overreactors, but I don’t care. Play better. If the overreacting and the boo birds light a fire under their asses, good. I don’t condone it, but I’m fine with it. This is big boy football. You’re at an elite program with high expectations.
The misnomer is that fans who criticized the Coaches somehow don't support the team, that's completely untrue.

People reacted the way we did because we got embarrassed by LSU, that's the part that everyone likes to leave out when trying to attack fans who dared to be ****ed off after the LSU performance lol

Acting like we just got upset for no apparent reason, like we didn't see the **** game & being down 33-3 at the beginning of the 4th quarter was perfectly fine & expected.

I understand the players need to feel like they have to justify how it turned out, but all the heat was mainly for the Coaches. The players who caught the most heat was Rosier, Feagles, Knowles & Dean, other than that most people weren't bashing the players.

Criticizing the Coaches when they deserve it doesn't make us bad fans, people need to stop with that.

Good for him - f u bull**** fans

Don’t believe for a second Blake James was pulling the trigger on Golden without the “bull****” fans flying “bull****” banners and withdrawing their “bull****” financial support

Yea, there was plenty of people watching that aren't real fans. See this site any day of the week.

I can understand players not enjoying having such a fickle fan base that will turn on them and the coaches on any given play/game.

I think there were some overreactions, but being fine with that shlt show in Dallas to me means you’re not a fan.

I don’t play that, “you’re not a real fan,” bs just because you’re not constantly pumping sunshine. I have many differences in opinion with posters here all the time, but one thing I don’t do is question people’s loyalty as fans. We’re all on this board because we’re fans.

I’m glad that he has the balls to put that message out there.

Gotta give these kids a chance to fight for what’s theirs.
Let us know who stopped them from getting what was there’s in Dallas? Oh, that’s right, they did. His sign should have said ‘SORRY’.

My guy , they don’t owe you ****. They went they played poorly and lost. They are the ones that have to live with that.

I think there is a fine line between being critical fan and a lame petulant child throwing a fit.

But do as you see fit player.

This fanbase - at least on the forum circuit - has a lot of hero worshippers. They are Canes fans, sure, but they go out of their way to fluff and prop up the head coach. Coker, Shannon, and Golden all had their fair share of hero worshippers and its always made for a toxic environment on the boards, where the first sign of criticism is met with anger and vitriol. They all do the same thing...pull the fan card. This just keep compounding as more and more people start analyzing the coach for what he's done over time here and the toxicity grows. Its like clockwork.

We're starting to see it again with Richt. The honeymoon period is over and people are starting to draw conclusions and put their heels in the dirt on both sides. You'd figure people would learn to stop doing this, but they just can't help themselves white knight the head coach and understand what is expected of a coach at this school.

With that said, I almost never see this at actual games. You go out and tailgate and most people are pretty level headed, even when you're a six pack in and you're trying to have a real discussion on Richt (or any of the previous coaches), most people are receptive that the past few head coaches are underperforming to expectations. Leads me to believe that this is really is more of a forum-centric toxicity.

We’re not fair weather. We’re just not going to turn out to support a shlt product. There’s just too much to do in Miami to waste time on mediocrity. This fan base has been dying for this team to be good again, and when we are, I’ll pit our 70,000 home field crowd against anybody’s 100,000+.

You mad? Too close to home for you.

I am supporting the college athlete - You’re a dumbass for comparing the state of the program under Golden vs Richt.

****ed off fans are a symptom, not the problem.

They weren't booing Rosier against Savvanah State because they hate him.

Play like you're supposed to and the way we expect you to. The Canes of old played big in primetime. We laid an egg against LSU.

And Redwine, do me a favor. Show Feagles a proper kicking technique by repeatedly kicking his ***.
