RE name change: I’ve seen the name Red Tails being bandied about in the press. I think it’s a great idea. Why not honor WWII veterans and heroes?

Unless they want to honor native Americans, but the Anacostans or the Nacotchtanks don’t exactly roll off the tongue.

I think that Red Tails is one of the trademarks that the investor/squatter/speculator from Virginia owns....Snyder should just ante up....

Edit: Checked it out...Tuskegee Airmen, Inc owns Red Tails .... The squatter owns Redtails .... It's a good name...

Just going to focus on the factual inaccuracy of this post and not the bait at the beginning, but the Tuskegee Airmen were far from less than average in combat. While the "no bomber lost under their escort" legend that was pushed for decades was just that, the Red Tails lost less bombers on average than their peers in the same P-51 fighter group.

Now you can argue that's bc a majority of the missions they flew were safer routes, but to say they were less than average in combat is fiction.

With all that said, Red Tails ain't it for a new name.

If memory serves, Tuskegee Airman charity owns name Red Tails....had privilege of dinner with several way back when...always a great time to connect with fellow war fighters, especially with the adversity they faced and succeeded...

Wow. I looked at some of your post and saw nothing that was ever worth responding to. 3600+ of dribble. Posting 7 times on the same topic is beyond anything reasonable. Post count doesn't mean squat.
