Cornerback will be a strength on this team in 21 barring injuries. Just a little red meat for u guys to get through your day. Be blessed

“An All Conference player in this room” is a pretty low bar with a room full of 4 star recruits playing in the ACC. You guys act like these coaches are coaching at BC or Duke where having an All Conference player is something to celebrate.

I didn’t see anything wrong with that statement other than it was setting the bar low.

Get your expectations out of the gutter. This ain’t Wake Forest. There should be more than one All Conference player in that room full of 4 and 5 stars.

Coach me up some All Americans too. You milquetoast simps act like we’ve never run any big time players through here.

That's cool, but if we think we're the second best team in the conference this fall, we should have an all-conference player (1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team, HM) in just about every room in the building.

I think All Conference is an EXTREMELY high bar at a school where Sean Taylor couldn't win a Thorpe and Willis McGahee, who produced a top 5 all-time season at RB, couldn't win a Heisman.
ND had 5 1st teamers on the all ACC team. 19 total listed, 1st team through Honorable Mention.
UNC- 3/15
Miami -1*/9

These numbers don't align with the recruiting rankings.

You sounding silly rn.
let’s be clear all American voting is mostly political and can be skewed for whatever reasons..for you to act like a all conference player is just average is crazy asf. That means a lot of Miami greats who were all conference and didn’t get the nod from the national beat writers to be all Americans were just reaching the “low bar” of success.

yea the all American list can be more prestigious. But there’s clear examples of guys getting that nod historically whose play that particular year did not deserve it. At least ACC coaches who face the guys on that list actually have to game plan and coach against these guys..but sure man lots of big East all conference jags

Thank you!! So many Miami legends were snubbed as All American political *** list

It amazes me to no end that people who call themselves Miami fans remain wildly unaware of the bias against Miami.

If we're not a top 5 team, our players are not earning many awards or accolades unless it's extremely obvious, like Borregales.

Does getting any of these "accolades" make Canes athletes better players?

Just win, the rest will fall into place.
Agree.
I was never, ever a fan of the individual awards in any sport.
I'll trade Vinny's and Gino's statues for a decent showing in those Natty's any day.

Give me a team of competitive MF'ers with a few studs sprinkled in that WIN and I'm good.

Then all the other stuff will come.

In fairness to BC, they have all conference kids almost every year.

That has more to do with individual awards and media bias being a complete crock of bull**** (and I or anyone else in here cant possibly emphasize that statement enough) more than anything though

A high bar WOULD be having players replicate those legendary seasons again.

I mean if we get all conference players...awesome, don't get me wrong..but I also see where Franchise is getting at on his side
