The Red Bandana game pays tribute to former BC Lacrosse player, Wells Crowther, who gave his life on September 11, 2001 to save others. My son is named after a friend who perished that day, I also lost a high school teammate and a college friend. Boston College gets few things right athletically, they get women’s lax and BC Hockey right. AND paying tribute to that kid annually for what he did that day. I don’t begrudge your opinion or your ability to exercise your right to free speech. That said, I just wanted to remind everyone what the “Red Bandana” game represents and I find it hard to claim it as being “cringy.” Godspeed.
