Most of us like to post or discuss recruits track times so I decided to start a thread..... 3/15/16 Henderson 21.87a 1st. ....Scott 39.20a 300mh 2nd........3/5/16 Finley 23.12a 1st......Malek Young runs a 10.95 not bad coming from 11.4 seems to have pretty good speed on film as well....... Ross ran 12.32 100m.....he's a bulky hard hitting kid a beast in pads, but definitely needs to improve his speed. I give him credit for working on it tho. He at least needs a better short shuttle to improve closing speed it was evident at the opening.

Who ran a 12.32 in the 100m? That's a terrible time for a high school boy ...

I know junior high girls who are faster.

Is that a DL prospect?

Saftey if it's 2017 commitment Ahman Ross ...

From the recent GMAC track meet:

Columbus 4*100 came in first at 41.57 (CJ Henderson, Bandy, Jobe)

2018 commit Thomas Burns placed first in both hurdle events. 110H: 14.48 330H:38.23

Former 2016 commit James Wiggins won the long jump: 22-10.5.

Im not one to be hard on a kids 40 or track times, but I do know thats not a good sign, especially after watching him get toasted at the open. Maybe he's strong enough to not lose a step in pads thats why he doesnt look as slow on film? Its easy to see he's definitely a hard hitting safety, at some point I'd love to see him post a much better time. If, he shows improvements that should let us know he is getting faster. Also, when I look at track meets in person, I pay more attention to first 20 to 40 yards more than anything else. Football speed is more about quickness than top end. Obviously, a 12.32 isa sorry time, however his film looks pretty good so I can't measure him by either right now. If, someone can identify some players on his tape or competition level during film would help. I trust the staff knows what they want so I'm not going to question any talent. Unless, I hear it from guys here who have seen them play in person.

Brandon Taylor

Ran 6.73 in the 60m at NB Indoor Nationals. 2nd fastest HS time in the country.

Be sure to follow him during the outdoor season, could very well end up going sub 10.3 by the end of the year.

I agree, that's pretty terrible. I don't care if he's bulky and hard hitting.

Burns times are impressive. 10th grade running those times?
