I'm no authority ...nor do i dare to be the tightening of ******* is not necessary when i post. .. i want to be like everyone else and state my opinion. .. and to make sure I was understood i was not talking down on the defense.. i was impressed with the potential i saw...the defense has alot of hard hitting strikers...but sometimes strikers have to give up a kill shots and make a safe tackle..but i like their aggression. Proud to see D. Owens getting some burn... but still wanting to see them play at their potential.. i have faith they are gonna make us proud.

Should a recruit not commit to Miami with the current staff?

Recruits should commit to UM, not the coach. Coaches come and go all the time. The coach could leave on his own a year after the recruit signs. Find a school you love in a location you love and go there.

The only thing that will happen to UM with a coaching change is that the coaching will get better for Shaq and the other recruits and current players. We're already at rock bottom now. The only way to go is up.

But some people on here are so blinded that even with all the missed tackles and poor assignment football being executed on Saturday they still try n link it back to coaching. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but did the coaches allow Abdullah break 50-leven tackles and turn a no gain to +4?? Or was it the players? On the field execution is accomplished by the players! You can adjust all the alignments and in box players all you want but if the players don't make tackles or execute everything goes to ****.

I don't disagree with you, but most will argue with you that the coaches have to teach them to tackle properly AND execute when it's time.

Granted, coaches can't MAKE them execute, but they're the ones responsible for how the players perform under the lights. If they're not executing, it's on the coaches to get them out and get someone in who will.

Exactly, whether these guys are good coaches or not, in the end it is about one thing. Winning. That is the nature of the business. Tom Coughlin has won 2 SB's with the Giants and they have talked about firing him MANY times because the team was underperforming. There are rumors out there that he is on the hot seat again. So, did he forget how to coach? Doubtful. Does he have a bad roster? Probably. Does it matter? NOPE. I think everyone is smart enough to understand that the coaches cant make the play for the player. Trust me I am Player>Coach when it comes to that debate. In the end, like I stated above, it doesnt really matter. They could practice tackling 40 hrs a week. They could spend another 40 hours working on assignments, but if come Saturday they dont tackle and miss assignments, what recourse do you have? Golden has turned the roster completely over from when he got here. They are his players. The end question is, if you think its the players fault, are you willing to take a chance and allow Golden to turn the roster over again believing he will get it right this time, or go the safe route with over 4 years the results have been the same regardless of the player and replace Golden.

He's just saying that when you come out, people who normally talk crazy, shut the **** up when you're around, as to not upset or offend. Sensitivity all of a sudden becomes a custom on a thread.

I'm sure the hysteria of the last week on this board and others like it will only help bring in the talent that we need to bring us back to national prominence.

I'm interested to see what Shaq's dad has to say at this point.
I was warned early on to stay clear of this site after a loss...I'm what some may call an idiot for not taking said advice...but here is my take anyways..Shaq and I watched the game and what stuck out for us was missed tackles... thats one of my pet peeves ... If Shaq mis a tackle then follow it up with an interception for a 90 yard touchdown...our conversation will be focused on the missed tackle...with that said if you sum up all the missed tackles and then divide that in half Miami beats Nebraska IMO. The one thing I do know about coaching is there will always be supporters and there will always be critics...like a soldier he may not favor the commander in chief but he still goes out and fight his best fight regardless...and if thats not good enough then he trains harder and is more prepared for the next fight...now the mess...all the recruits committed to UM have to be a supporter of current staff Shaq and i included...the day we are not is the day we change our commitment... Shaq is still 100 percent committed...Most of us who grace this site are echelons below having any influence of the firing or hiring of the coaching staff. But I would guess that most of us want to see Miami return to the greatness it once was...staff included...i understand that this forum is a place of free speech and opinion and I'm a supporter of both but i fear that some recruit not of strong mind could be scared off by some of the comments of opinion... I keep Shaq off for that reason alone...because if a recruit or potential recruit take their talents elsewhere Miami suffers regardless who is the coach... i step off the soap box but not before asking 1 question...Should a recruit not commit to Miami with the current staff?
Lots of posters could benefit from reading the bolded multiple times and understanding what he is saying.
