Recruiting Rankings for all the players in the Super Bowl

In recruiting stars are a great starting point. Before going after the higher star other evaluations need to be made before signing. Some are hard to diagnois. Mental.makeup just as important, heart, work ethic and etc
Often much harder to determine than sheer raw ability

Interesting list. Star rankings are meaningful, but they are still missing a ton even in the HUDL era.

Only 10 of the 44 Super Bowl starters were four star or above. There are 16 starters who were two star or unranked.
This is exactly right . Stars DO have some meaning but you shouldn't get too caught up in them.

People who are slaves to the stars though ( thinking that matters more then development and evaluation ) are fools though. Some of the highest ranked UM classes since I started following UM in 1987 have been the worst and some of our lowest ranked classes have been full on great NFL players. So of coarse you want to sign more 4's then 3's but it isn't the end all be all.

Evaluation, evaluation, evaluation! That’s what it comes down to. Yes stars matter, but staff evaluation and the kids willingness to put forth the work, matter more. Work ethic is why some 2 stars or lower guys make it big, and conversely is why some 4-5 stars don’t make it.

Good observation. It highlights the importance of evals, IMO.
