Why, year in year out, we can't retain our local elite 5* players, and schools like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, etc., come into our backyard and pick our best athletes, even ones committed to us? Something is very wrong with the way we recruit/compete against these schools. Even Florida State, with a lousy record this year and a new coach in place for <2 months, picked our pockets as well. UM needs to review their recruiting processes and fix this issue if we are to take the next step.

Bama is the most dominant program in the last 20 years.

Georgia was just in the playoffs and almost won a national championship.

OSU won a title in the last 5 years.

FSU won a title in the last 5 years.

It's not hard to understand why these kids would be drawn to those programs. If Miami keeps winning, things will turn.

And let's stop acting like this class is trash. It's most likely Top 5, and at worst Top 8.

Alabama, Ohio State and FSU recruited excellently within the first years of Saban, Meyer and Fisher taking over, when they were not winning, so your point is not valid. The difference is that these coaches were not only excellent recruiters but they also had excellent recruiting staffs.

Slick willie and Dan mother F***ing Mullet are about to have top 15 classes in transiton years. There is something seriously wrong at Miami.

you need to remember, these families have been living in squalor for so long, as part of the lowest rung of society, you can't blame them for taking the money from the SEC schools. they don't have the education, culture, or proper breeding or values to understand any differently. you're blaming the fish for being wet.

It’s the way we play. Struggle against everyone lose to Pitt and get squashed by Clemson. It’s not very inspiring football and these kids have their choose of school. It’s really not that hard to figure out, we can only break the cycle by winning.

It didn't help that we lost our last three games, and some of those we won were squeakers.

We were worn out, and lost a lot of top players to injuries - so we were struggling to finish up.

Now we have some much needed reinforcements - and if we step it up even more this season - we'll close on some of those next season.

Keep in mind, Lorenzo Lingard knew Mark Richt since his eighth grade - and Mark is working younger classes - which will work in our favor.

Radar and Golden just crushed our football program.

If having a Top 5 class, and number 1 class in the ACC is seriously wrong, I would hate to see what you think is seriously right lol

all I'm gonna say is this..

some of us better be very wrong about richt and his offense

if we don't POUR it on offensively, we are going to have an abysmal year next season

Define "abysmal," please.

Bull crap. We lost 2 DL's to FSU this month(Briggs and Chatman) which we had all wrapped up, we thought, and what was FSU's record this year bro? By the way, they also lost their coach to T A&M. Miami's problem is bad recruiting and bad recruiters.

LOL! Really bro, lol!

Not recruiting well at DL's and OL's spells disaster. The game is won in the trenches. Our DB's are not elite enough in order to make up for our DL under recruiting deficiencies. A couple of injuries on the DL will find us in deep s**t.

No I guess I'm kidding. We better outscore the opposition next year. Our DL is not deep enough to compete with the big guys.
