Recruiting Priority board

if you had a big board with ur top 3 priorities what would it be? Whether it's player or Position?

1. Richards (game changing WR, hope coley stays so he can be groomed)
2. Tatum (we don't even have a starting tackle in our lineup this year we have a bunch of guards) need St. Louis to step up and maybe jones
3. DB's ( Alfraud failed in a stacked 2015 db class, we need a strong 2016 DB class) it's solid now but if we add a cook, hardman, Davis and young I'll be happy..
4. DT( nothing else needs to be said, Norton has a bright future and maybe a system change will help but we need more talent)

Can't disagree with op, your DB hopes are lofty though I think some combination of Becker, Young, Davis, and maybe Carter is more realistic.
 
Either way we desperately need DBs. Our Lbs will be fine now with this class. I think our DL will be solid this yr with AQM, Moten, Jenkins, Thomas. Hopefully McDermott and Darling can step up at tackle. Linder is good at center. Kaayas here 2 more years. Rb isnt a problem, but wr is.
So imo we need DBs and WRs badly, which is just ******* sad seeing as how those are 2 things we should never have a problem with. Keeping Bruce, and getting Richards are priority 1 to me.
 
I'm not too worried about O-Line lots of inexperience and better coaching + more experience will help.. But we need an OT or 2, in this class..

Don't forget about Gerald Willis on that DL. I'm pretty sure he will be staring.

3. WRs who have high ceilings and not necessarily are finished products

3. Richards and wide receiver as a whole

As much as I want us to get richards back I'm convinced that our biggest areas of concern are on the o line and d backs. Whether corn stays or goes we are an injury away from being f*****.
 
DT - 1 or 2 studs to keep our depth. I like Norton, Willis, Jenkins and Moten. Especially in a more aggressive D.
CB - Byrd, Wiggins, Young and one of Mullen, Carter or Hardeman.
S - Wright and hopefully Becker
OL - I would go all in on EJ Price who was a Richt guy when he was at Georgia. Then look for either Tatum or Reece.
WR - we need to close with some serious game breakers. Hopefully Coley stays and Jones, Langham move on. Add in Richards, Bruce, Mullins and Victor.
RB - Either get Whaley or firm up with Hamilton.
 
We need difference makers and the one thing we haven't had in this bad run is dt who plays in the backfield.

Get me Christmas first and foremost.

Then get me some dbs who hit hard and run like the wind.
 
If it's one thing safe to say about Richt, is that he did a great job recruiting the Defensive Line at Gawgia. I'm sure he knew coming in that the previous idiots (al & Dortito) were very deficient at recruiting DL and other positions. His goal in this class should be to:

1. Improve the class by rescinding some offers and replace with more talented players ie, Becker, Hardeman, Pie, Richards, Victor and Whaley et al

2. Got to sign 2 solid interior DLinemen. Richt should be able to sway one of those Gawgia commits. Wish list Christmas and Manuel or Aaron Thompson my god!

3. At least 2 OL/OT. Sway a Gawgia commit (again). Tatum or Reese. SoFl is stacked at OL for 2017 so we need to identify the targets and get 3 if not 4 from this class. Donaldson, Slaton, Diaz and a few others I can't remember.

4. More speed at WR going forward.

I heard from sevwral members on the staff.. alot of times they have to take willis off field to get a play off when he is on the scout D

Outside of a new HC, that's the best news I've heard in 4 years! Hopefully he'll inspire the other DLinemen to raise their level of intensity. Given the new DC will be far better than that horse **** we have, add better LB play, a faster and more aggressive scheme, the defense will be the biggest delight to all of us Canes fans. Can't wait till Spring Game
