Recruiting Misses and Attrition

Looks like the recruiting services did a better job of evaluating than Golden

Way too many losses. Any class at any school usually has about 15-20% guys that don't make it through the whole way for whatever reason. But Golden was in the 40-50% range. That's awful.

all of these guys were so wack smh what terrible recruiting

LB JaWand Blue, 3-star (arrested, charged with sexual battery, July 2013)

RB Danny Dillard, 3-star (dismissed Aug. 2013, enrolled at Bethune-Cookman)

DE Dwayne Hoilett, 3-star (left the school in July)

DT Jacoby Briscoe, 3-star (transferred)

WR Jontavious Carter, 3-star (transferred)

DB Vernon Davis, 3-star (transferred)

DB Larry Hope, 3-star (left UM in May 2013)

DE Gabe Terry, 3-star (left UM in April 2013 after being arrested with marijuana)

DB Nate Dortch, 3-star (transferred)

DT Dequan Ivery, 3-star (left program for Mississippi JUCO)

When you think about it, it is amazing we won 9 games last season. I posted it many times throughout the Golden years, wehad more transfers than any program in the nation. It is mind boggling. It is impossible to build a program like that.

I coined a term Altrition because of the ridiculous amount of attrition during the Folden error.

What a waste. Couldn't find 2016 stats. No idea where this guy is now.

Angelo Jean-Louis - 2015 Football
Shepherd University - Angelo Jean-Louis - 2015 Football

Charleston Gazette-Mail | MEC notebook: Shepherd tops preseason football poll, UC picked 2nd
Cater confirmed that Angelo Jean-Louis, a former Marshall wide receiver who transferred to Shepherd before last season began, had left the team. He caught 17 passes for 246 yards and six touchdowns for the Rams before a leg injury sidelined him after nine games.

Jean-Louis was named to the Conference USA all-freshman team in 2014 after a 21-catch, 490-yard, six-touchdown season. Jean-Louis and the Thundering Herd parted ways in August 2015.

Let's keep it 100, most of the names on here shouldn't have been here in the 1st place. We had a roster full of JAGs and imma go out on a limb and predict 95% of them we'll never hear from again. The ones who actually hurt were EJ, AQM, Grace, Bond, and Bruce.

That 2012 class was actually ranked in the top 10...straight garbage. Here are some others in that class

Antonio Crawford - Transferred to WVU
Taylor Gadbois - Dismissed
Earl Moore - Transferred
Jelani Hamilton - Transferred
Jake O'Donnell - Tansferred
Preston Dewey - Retired injury
Josh Witt - Concussions
David Thompson - Baseball
Gray Crow - Transferred

It was ranked as high as 8 but that's all due to numbers. Folden signed 33 players, inflating the rankings.

Not sure which of the coaches mentioned it but he said something to the effect that in 2017 "We got the right kids for this program"

I truly believe going forward we do not see that type of attrition.

not true.
wherrera8 was solely responsible for the AQM debacle.

Yet he got another chance, he messed up with the rental car BS. I don't blame him for defending his son but the second one was his own doing

Without the first one the 2nd one would have been a pass. Think about that.
