Will be interesting to see the fallout (if any) from the Nike deal. We have one flip target and two commits on this list. Will some sign w/Nike next year or is this a multi-year contract?

Also interesting to see what doors (if any) are now open to us (beyond Mater Dei)

does this even matter? Ohio state is a Nike school yet Jeremiah smith is an adidas athlete.

That's my general reaction (regarding existing Addidas signees). However there is this CIS law that is no longer valid. @Rellyrell we are no longer automatically eliminated by Mater Dei recruits 👇🏽

I find it more likely that adidas affiliated high school players didnt give Miami as much as second thought b/c we were a middling team for 20+ yrs
But- b/c we sign this deal that a recruit(s) suddenly falls in line…
It’s a bit of a stretch isn’t it?
Kids come here b/c they want to contend, be on Tv and play in big games and get coaches to the NFL draft…. Everyone has NIL so I doubt it’s money that breaks the tie

Only signing 1 year deals for high school dudes.

It is pretty **** amusing how these dudes get so caught up in Nike or Adidas deals like it impacts what were able to sign. Yes in many instances a brand will contribute to the recruitment of a kid. But it's not like it's an end all if you get that contribution from another brand. It's not like all brands at that level aren't all vying for an open door into the next possible superstars life's.

I predict if that abomination of a F*ck Miami Act properly gets killed by the Congressional Black Caucus, Nike will be very active helping us out in the NIL space. They want their investment to be maximized.

they will.....just do it..

(OK, I'll see myself out now)

i hate to do this @k9cane , but rules are rules. Let's see if @JamesQuall applies the law equally to all.
