I like the point of recruiting to our standards. Most of these kids, as of late, have used UM as a stepping stone to gain "better" offers or to boost their star rankings. It's time to get to the point where hold a scholly from us is like winning a mini-lotto. That's what I miss about Butch. He wasn't just simply handing out offers to any and everyone...he was very select and that's why we had the greatest teams ever assembled from 2000-2002.
 
Liked the scouting reports. The guys they want to add are indeed a bit unrealistic, and not because I don't think we SHOULD be able to add them, but because I have seen Golden and Co. **** up one too many NSD to think that there's a shot in **** we end up with that class they envision at the end.

I also like that they are tamping down the Allison hype a bit. To me right now he is Zach Mettenberger, with the chance to be much better if he gets the interceptions down.
 
Good write up but I had few comments:

Sam Bruce- Take
Four stars. Two words-speed killz. Philip Dorsett reincarnate. This kid is a decent route runner, but has blazing speed and excellent agility. Great run after the catch chops, and a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the football. Size will limit him to the slot mostly, but he’ll make an impact the second he hits campus.

Not sure about the Elite speed and decent route runner... more like elite route runner with decent speed.

Ahmon Richards- Take
Four stars. I love this player. He has ridiculous speed for being 6’2, and he’s a dominant vertical threat. His route running needs loads of work, but he has game ready hands and unfair athleticism. Great prospect.

What is ridiculous speed? 4.68? This guy is pretty hard on route runners...

Evan Hinson- Take
3 stars. Weapon at the tight end position. Dynamic receiver who you can flex out wide. Versatile. Outstanding hands, and jump ball ability. A perfect safety valve for any quarterback. Speed is a bit of a concern, but with a little training it should be passable. Route running will need a little work. Very intriguing talent with sky high potential.

Shaquille Quarterman- Take
Four stars. Talk about instincts, wow. Reads plays like a pro, and blows up those plays. He’s very much in the Denzel Perryman mold at being a tad undersized but a savage against the run. Very little tape in pass coverage, so that will likely need some work at the next level. Could stand to drop a little bit of bad weight, and add it back on with better muscle, will help him get a little quicker. Good prospect.

Mike Pinckney- Take
Three Stars. A little overrated with nothing very special about his game. Solid player with good run stopping skills, and bigger than his listed 6’0 measurables. Plays with swagger. Not a very **** player, but a solid one who can step in a add onto a good defense.

Tyler Byrd- Take
Three stars. Speedy safety/corner who is elite in pursuit. Shows solid toughness against the run, and good cover skills. A little overhyped, but a decent prospect nonetheless.

I don't get this about Jack...

How are you not a sure thing superstar prospect, but still elite? People use elite too often these days and don't use it in the correct context. Either he's elite, or he's not. If you think he is elite, you wouldn't say the below statement.

"Solid Four Star Guy here. He’s not quite as much a sure thing superstar prospect as people hype him to be, but he’s an elite young quarterback."

It's been well known for a while that Bruce will flip. Nothing new around here for the people who truly follow the recruiting trends.
With that said, Jack Allison will not be a Gator. Just look at the QBs on UFs roster. Look at the QBs Macllwien has groomed. UF has zero selling points to offer a stud QB. Jack sees What Kaaya did as a freshman and wants to do the same.

At least you aren't in denial like most. I'm not saying Allison will flip, but I have heard rumblings about a "committed qb" talking to UF and some say it could be JA.
