Recruiter is #1 Priority

People have been saying for years. Remember richt as recruiting good in uga but was different this year in miami, why? Get a coach who has track record of winning and let them do work. this recruiter angle seems like miami bros tryna push a mario with funny record for winning.

Developement of players is most important,.

You can recruit who you want but if you can’t coach and develope these kids where you finish in the recruiting rankings won’t matter.

We’ve had staffs full of recruiters who were nothing more Than a bunch of Corches.Its time we go the coaches who are recruiters route.Kids want to play where they can win.

You win where you have the best coaches.

Stubborn as ****,...even now, criticizing kids that don't play in bowl games.

We dont need "stubborn" and my way or the highway here when we're out there needing to recruit.

We didn’t recruit fine... we didn’t play the game, recruit beyond our number ones or keep relationships strong at all times. We had very little oversite from the top spot and missed on several great kids that wanted to be Canes. Sorry but you’re wrong, very very wrong

You think we are going to pull a top 5 class when we lose as we do? We recruited good enough classes to play for the ACC Championship every year. We have the talent to have only lost 1 game. Once we get to the point where we are only losing 1 game then we will get the other guys. Some guys like Devonte Smith and Jerry Jeudy want to compete for titles, we got to prove we are ready to do so before we get those recruits. It took Kirby Smart two years to do this as UGA.

EXACTLY!!! It’s amazing how we get this great news today and dudes haven’t learned one thing from our horrific experiences over the last 15 seasons. They go right back to the arrogant philosophy that got us here. Richt is well renowned recruiter but what happened his year is that his coaching was clearly subpar and families are getting smarter in that they desire advanced coaching acumen to be paired with their kid’s advanced skill set. Why wouldn’t they???

Why would we purposely rely on slick talk machismo, smoke and mirrors to trick kids into signing here when we can just hire an outstanding dynamic coach and earn their trust and loyalty.
 
Can’t disagree more. Especially if we are putting so much weight into the bags boogie man. We will not compete with those schools with bags involved. We need a coach who can coach, and be a decent recruiter. People forget that until we **** the bed because of sub par coaching, Richt was gonna have a top 15-10 class here with an average rank of 10 in three years. Win and we will keep more kids home, not all of them as bags will be bags.

Dino and Campbell are scheme coaches, they can win with less, but will never been able to compete with Bama, UGA, OSU. They're not recruiters

Butch , Manny, Cristobal are the best options

Yeah lol that’s not what I said. Reread what I wrote and call me if you have questions that need answered. Kids would literally be a “priority” and not hear from coaches for weeks on end. They were an unorganized staff that had zero accountability from the top. I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but this staff didn’t work the trail hard. There are a few that did a good job, but we failed consistently as a result of our own shortcomings.

Recruiting prowess should be prioritized in the HC search. Jimmys and Joes over X’s and O’s. Leave the scheme worries to the OC and DC. UM gets the elites of SFL that always wanted to be #Canes but for too long UM has lost the kids that are on the fence or leaning elsewhere. - from Stefan

I'll take some o this action, Manny is not all that, as you will soon see. Every good offense we played ate him up, he struggled at MSU, got fired at Texas with shytloads of talent and a one game schedule. Maybe one day, but not now, he ain't there yet, we can't miss on this one
