it's clear, this isn't just a job for him-- as he says, this is his vocation. He bleeds for this UM football program

As for the players, it wont be easy, but those who get through this, will find it incredibly rewarding. But every day they are on the clock, bottom line.

What is rewarding isn't often fun, but what's fun isn't often rewarding. This is the new/old Hurricane football program under Mario Cristobal

Looks and sounds good so far. I just hope to see growth and discipline on the field in September. They're not as talented as the Bama's and Ohio State's, but they're getting there. However, they have had talent to consistently win the Coastal and much of the reason they failed all but once, was due to self-inflicted errors. Hopefully Mario gets that corrected, but patience is needed by us fans.....for a year anyway. lol

It is really nice to finally have a coach who is secure enough in himself that he recognizes that the former players are assets, as opposed to being so insecure that the coach feels threatened by their presence. Seems to me like we haven’t had a coach with this level of self confidence since Butch. Which is also the last time that I can remember former players crowding the sidelines.

I told you guys in December, the minute he was hired it was game over. Perfect fit. He will bring us back or die trying. No other coach can match his relentless life or death will to not just succeed, but succeed HERE. And it's a perfect storm. This community (think Ruiz, Mas, a ton of HS coaches, etc) will do what it takes to make sure he wins too.

Mario Cristobal, not just the leader we wanted -- but the man Miami needed...

I think we'll get 1 of the 2 big ones vs A&M and Clemson. I also think we'll lose a game or two that we should win while on the road.

We need to go 7-1 in ACC play to lock up the Coastal. But honestly I have us going 6-2.

Crazy how far we've gone down the rabbit hole, where a simple gesture of being kind, polite, and caring starts to look like an anomaly & we praise it (as it should be praised) but not as anomaly. This should just be common courtesy. A lot of this is just something that's taught at home, to look out for the people who support you, by showing them gratitude, respect and a simple looking in the eye when they speak with you. CMC isn't doing anything out of the ordinary, well maybe these days it's out of the ordinary, but this should be run of the mill.
