Recall the moment when you “knew” Manny wasn’t the guy

To me, and this may sound silly to some, but the moment I KNEW manny wasn’t the guy is when someone posted a video with some of the players dancing and laughing...and manny comes into focus, looks into the camera with the most stupid, nerdy and aloof look EVER- I knew right then- we are ****ed.

can you find that vid and post?

Two things stand out to me. The Dan Enos hire, and him milking the clock with 12:30 left before calling a timeout against mighty CMU.

@Dwinstitles @OriginalGatorHater @LustNCanes @bubbie72 and myself knew from the first report that Diaz had been hired that Miami and Blank James had made another dumbass mistake and had hired an inexperienced corch. Diaz is not the right guy to restore the Canes football program. He belongs back in the film room at ESPN.

Sebastian could have coached a win over FIU for ***** sake !

Do you hear the sound of the whole college football world laughing their asses off at Miami ? LET THAT SINK IN !!!

I keep reading posts like this and similar ones that mention the FSU and uF boards.
It doesn't have to sink in.
Half the posters on this site laugh their asses off at Miami. Why wouldn't fans of other teams do so?

I was against the hire from day 1.

I was on this board trashing the Diaz hire. A lot of you ******** called me a "troll" for making that opinion known, in fact.

It was obvious then, and it's even more obvious now. Manny ain't it.

After he was hired - with literally no search being conducted. But like a fan I bought into the BS, because I wanted to believe this long nightmare was close to being over. With each successive loss, and the "win" over CMU, it became clearer that Diaz is in waaaaaayyyyyy over his head, and my intuition was spot on.

sorry you don't get the point.

When he let every QB in 2017 turn into a heisman candidate

“Career day passing for (enter name) of (enter ****** university team name) against the Miami hurricanes’

Has there ever been a less qualified head coach hired at a prestigious football school? I don’t think their had been... the only argument you could make is maybe we aren’t prestigious anymore.

When Richt stepped down I wanted Norvell or Heupel to be the next HC, I was against hiring Diaz from day 1.

Red flags were glaring all season, but I was willing to give him a chance & be fair.

Losing to UNC off the 4th & 17 & struggling against CMU were the biggest red flags.

The Va Tech 1st half performance made me completely start to question wtf was going on with this guy...

But I knew for sure, when we lost to a 1-5 GTech team coming off a Bye week, at that point I realized he wasn't the guy.

What I didn't anticipate was him being worse than both Shannon & Folden, not even Shannon & the Orange tie ever lost to FAU/FIU. That's a new low in Miami Corching, that's about as bad as it can get.

Did these cinco amigos come to us by crossing the Rio Grande?

For me, I had hope in the off-season b/c he seemingly was talking about all the right things. My first moment of doubt was when he was interviewed on the sidelines briefly before the UF game started. Reporter asked him a question and he had some answer like "I told the players to play the intensity that the players that came before them played with" or something like that. I kind of rubbed me the wrong way a bit but I chalked it up to a nothing burger. FFWD a few months later and it's a microcosm of his problem - he's too busy in recreating some sort of false bravado by having guys wear crazy stuff on cane walks, new rings, talk trash, show them film of prior players, etc., rather than try to put his own legit stamp on the team and instill discipline, etc/.

Hated the hire at the time, he won me over enough in the offseason to think we can maybe get lucky with his hiring, season has been extremely disappointing but there was enough there to convince myself next year could be a good season. Saturday night destroyed any remaining hope I have left.

With that being said, fire Blake before firing Manny.
