Reassessing Miami's Season Ending Record

Ok, so we picked up a win where I definitely had us for a loss tonight. We're now 5-3, 2-2. The remaining games are:

North Carolina Win
Florida State Loss
@Virginia Loss
Pittsburgh Win

So this leaves us with 7-5. If we manage to win at Virginia, we could end up 8-4 and back into the Coastal title.

And now instead of a Christmas bowl we get a pre-New Year's bowl.

And I have to add I still cannot get over Golden leaving Duke in the game after the 3rd quarter today.

Its easy any game golden is suppose to win the team wins

Lville underdog we lose
Famu fav we win
Ark st fav we win
Nebraska heavy underdog we lose
Duke fav we win
Ga tech underdog we lose
Cincy fav we win
Va tech fav we win

Cant say it enough golden doesnt lose games were suppose to win.. The problem is he is he hasnt show the ability to win games were not supposed to

We will be favored in the next 3 out of 4 games

I read most posts on this board and so far I have viewed you as an undying optimist but, this post proves your are more objective than I thought. Kudos. All Canes fans should have enjoyed tonight's win. The fact you still hold the staff accountable for future results shows you are not a blind optimist and for that I commend you.

We were supposed to beat GT and Louisville x 2

Thanks. I think. I try to be optimistic but I try not to be constantly drunk on orange/green koolaid either. I hope they win out of course but these Canes have a way of lifting you up to the top of Mt. Hope, only to fling you off the side. Might explain why I was still nervous at half time even though we were winning 24-0. lol

I thought we'd go 7-5 maybe 8-4 before the season started. I thought we'd beat Georgia Tech and I thought we'd lose to Virginia Tech so those games wash out.

With the scheme we play, we would need to have a GT-esque gameplan against FSU. Ball control and eat the clock....

Unfortunately, I don't ever think we'll see a Hurricane team disciplined enough to execute a passive strategy such as this. For this team, the coaches wouldn't be able to prepare them to execute it, and with prior teams they were too talented and had too much southern savage in them to want to execute a ball control gameplan.
 
We tried ball control last year against FSU then Duke broke his ankle. Will he play the whole game this year?
 
before the season i had Vtech, Neb, and FSU as losses. vtech makes up for that Lou lost but nothing can be made up for the GT lost except if we beat FSU.
