Golden isnt getting fired anytime soon. So these stupid threads reaching for reasons to fire him or James are childish. To be clear, I want him gone yesterday. The facts are we went 6-6 and he isn't being let go. That is much worse then anything he can personally do at this point other then a felony. So take a deep breath and give it another year because quite frankly, we have no other ******* choice.

Support the program and see where it goes. I fully believe if we don't win the bowl game and at least compete for the Coastal he will be let go at this time next year.

1 thing I will give him credit for is that he is actually out recruiting his but off when it would be easy to throw in the towel.

Why do we have no other choice? That is a passive, loser mentality. Keep the pressure on and get rid of Golden and James! There is time still.

If I see another poster talk about competing to win the Coastal next season, my head is going to explode. Any coach heading into Year 5 at Miami needs to win 10 games, beat FSU, win the ACC, and go to a BCS bowl. Anything less is unacceptable. Who gives a f*** about winning the worst division among the Power 5 in a coach's fifth year here?

And all that recruiting effort will mean jack s*** when we don't close on any uncommitted blue-chip targets and have to settle for Golden specials. Again.
 
100% and one way to look at it is sacrificing a year. If Golden goes out and hires new assistants they might grant Golden 2 years to let it all pan out. Good assistants might not come here knowing Golden is on the hot seat for next year. Point being is, we know he isn't making changes which we all know means we will see the same product if not worse securing his departure sooner than later. The timing of the new president coming in could be lining up well as they probably won't want this lousy team on their resume to start their tenure. Making changes now only increases the chances of prolonging Golden's tenure here. Sure, some new assistants might help and be upgrades but it is clear that Al is the problem and needs to go for significant changes to take place and actually trend upwards

Rightfully so, my point is that your Saturdays could be like that for longer if Al makes changes as the school will want to let it "play out" and Al will sell that card hard. If he makes no changes we all know as does Blake that he is burying his own grave.

Let us commend him for carrying out one of the responsibilities of the position for which he' still under contract. What a guy.

Lol when did I say I was happy I'm just telling you facts. Talk to a BoT member and they'll tell u the same. I love the football team and I hate it how we suck and have been sucking for a decade but I'm also not going to **** on the only good coach at the school like you. I'm a canes fan and supporter in all sports not just one. Would u take back any of the four baseball titles too? Florida has done well in two sports and just paid 14 million in buyout money for their football team

BS. We need to fight to the last breath. Golden is prideful not stupid. He is recruiting because our horrible BOT will not fire him and pay him his retirement money. He can't get another job and he knows. He also knows that bad coaches get hired if they can recruit. So he continues to recruit in the hopes of finding some stupid enough to hire him for his recruiting.

Why would you believe he'll be gone next year if he doesn't win the Coastal? The funny thing is, after PSU gate, the sentiment was THIS season would be a lost year, and it was. He could probably go 8-4 next year with another loaded team and keep his job.

And I'd argue canceling practices after whining about their importance last year could be interpreted as a sign of throwing in the towel.


The administration only cares about being embarrassed. If the fan base spews enough vitriol, who knows?
