Reality

The good thing is. It is easy to see what is wrong and most can be fixed. Defense will be fine. OL needs shuffling. Competition for OT needs to be opened up. This game should help with the OT Walker. We have to find out what we have with WR’s. Start clearing that room out.
The wrs will be fine imo. The line just made it more difficult but between Jordan and Williams getting better that doesn't worry me

Fair. My biggest take away is we still don’t have IT. We make big plays but not game changing plays. If JT4 fields the punt or catches the ball in the end zone we win. If Jarren gets rid of 5 of those sacks we win. No where on offense do we have IT. We can still easily win the coastal but we are still a few years away from any real national spotlight.
If Baxa makes that chip shot we have a chance to win.

Well it seems he cant create space cause he never seems to get open. Admit it...he is overrated even for this board.....yes he is fast as lightning but doesnt know how to use it.

First off, he was lined up against 2 of the very best corners in CFB. Second, Williams had literally 1 second or less to throw the ball. Williams struggled to get through progressions so we don’t know if Thomas was open or not. That move he put on the 2 Fla defenders was crazy.

The Mallory thing is weird - he has more of an NFL body than Jordan, but he hasn't really shown up in a game yet. Meanwhile Jordan is our leading receiver.

Not sure why that is.

Mallory doesn’t know how to use his size at all. He isn’t physical enough. His hands are questionable in traffic as well. He can still be a good TE but not sure if he will be that guy. Jordan will be leaving earlier and getting drafted despite his size

He is just taller than jordan. Brevin weighs more and is stronger. Mallory probably will have to be used like njoku was. Primarily in the slot.

Tough game to watch.
1. We may have a QB but it’s hard to tell. He does hold the ball to long.
2. DJ Dallas is a real weapon.
3. Our OL is pretty bad if Zion and Campbell (who could end up good) have to play this early.
4. We have 1 effective TE and that is Jordan. He is a beast. Mallory just isn’t that guy.
5. We don’t have real reliable talent at WR besides Osborne and Thomas. Tate shouldn’t have received that much burn.
6. Kicking game is still shaky.
7. DL has depth but not elite. Garvin, Hill and Florida DL is elite but no depth.
8. LB are experienced but not elite. Florida’s LB played better and faster.
9. Our DB’s aren’t bad but not elite. Bandy is a beast, though. He is borderline elite.
10. Safeties will be giving up big plays

At the end of the day. We are not yet TNM. Just too many mistakes and self inflicted wounds. It’s hard to tell how good a play-caller Enos is with how terrible the OL played. Some of his play-calling, especially the runs of the middle was reminiscent of Richt, though. Defensive play calling was not too bad. The tackling was bad, especially early on. Manny did say the were remnants of some of the old Miami and he is right.
I believe in Manny!

Agreed on #4 these two are herndon and Njoku 2.0 I always thought herndon (Brevin comparison) was the better of the two.. reliable hands and made the plays in crucial times all around football players. Mallory and Njoku has potential but potential aint results

Njoku would make big plays with an occasional drop. Mallory just hasn’t produced. They have gone to him but he hasn’t earned the trust to keep going back to him.

I don’t think this team can easily win anything with the O-line play.
The O line isn’t good but those penalties forced us into more predictable passing situations. That whole first drive we stayed ahead of the sticks. But once you get behind you will have to put a 50/50 ball there which Jarren didn’t do.

Loser stench can linger longer than it should.

That is why coaching adjustments on the fly are SO IMPORTANT.

EVERYONE, including coaches, made mistakes that lost the game. Some were more destructive than others.

WE HAVE TO FIX THE TACKLES!

Everything else was mental mistakes. If the coaches stay poised and players stay focused, we can bounce back.

Florida left holes when they blitzed, but the playcalling and Jarren’s inexperience, couldn’t exploit opportunities.

There is cause for concern and cause for hope.

The team didn’t quit. That’s a start. Clean up the errors and momentum will build. Stay focused and learn. This could humble us to a good season. Loss could be a blessing. They may not have handled a sloppy win over a top 10 team properly. They were physically there enough to win. Have to learn to turn it up under pressure.

Here is another thought. Based on how poor Nelson and Campbell played tonight. What did they show against our DE’s to warrant them to start. Did they just get beat less by our ends then the other OT candidates? Did they compete favorably against our De’s and earn the spots. If this is the case, what does that say about our DE’s?

Was a great move.........Yes he was going against top rated CBs. So basically he can only beat up on inferior talent..kind of like Walton did when he was here. Thomas getting open was an issue last year too.......Dude is fast but that seems to be it. Hands are suspect too

Once again, we don’t know who was open because JW had nearly no time to process things. Unless you were at the game, you have no perspective on this.

Again I am not just talking this game......yes the O sucked last 2 years but Rosier/Perry had time. Perspective is he does not get open.....he is fast...thats it. Funny how JW didnt have time yet Osbourn and Jordan were getting open........
