Realistic Offensive Coordinator Shortlist

Jake Spavital can't get any clout lol.
Manziel is an immature flame out who made most of his plays back yard football style, not from superior technique and fundamentals.
Grier was a beast at UF, and is still a beast at WVU. Common denominator is Grier.

And take away from Western Kentucky game prep?

Butch, who traveled a lot with ESPN, got to know a lot of young coaches, see their work, and probably has a pretty good idea of who can do what - because with only one exception - he had a wonderful talent to likewise evaluate coordinators and position coaches alike.

So, I'd imagine it would take Butch five minutes to run through those that stand out in his mind - and wouldn't interfere at all with any game prep.

You have a very small mind - and no imagination whatsoever.

You must take tickets in the toll booths somewhere. If not, you might want to try for a vertical move into a booth somewhere. Never have to think, don't have to have a personality, and it's not emotionally traumatic.

You still wear your shorts backwards?

Saves time?

It's unbelievable to keep seeing Kendal Briles name come up. He would never be hired by UM.

Has he been convicted of anything? Charged with any crime? How about found liable or settled a lawsuit? You have to be a seriously f+cked up individual to take food off a man's plate based solely on unsubstantiated allegations. If UM hires him and he gets charged (even though he hasn't done anything that could be considered a crime), even then the school shouldn't take action against him until the court plays out.

Theres no realistic OC list, because us hiring an OC is unrealistic.

I really dont understand why you guys start a new thread for this every ******* day.

As long as Mark Richt is at UM, he will be calling the plays. Period.

If by some act of God, Richt comes to his senses and decides his offense isnt cutting it, then we will hire some ******* like Mike Bobo.

Forget about this OC ****. It is not happening.

Finally, somebody gets it.

But would he take time away from prepping for Western Kentucky? That’s my only concern.

Have you just started following UM? Have you not seen the highly risk averse nature of it's adminstration and trustees? He would never be hired by UM.

Any offensive assistant coach from the Chiefs or Rams

Many don't Realize.... Jedd Fisch is an Offensive Assistant there... you can see some of his passing concepts there.

Not saying I'd want Fisch back but he was clearly the best offensive play caller we had here in a long time. I'd take someone of that ilk.

But lets be honest... we aren't getting an New OC...

I dunno. You think Saban still has nightmares over Louisiana Monroe?

Or, Urban having nightmares about Purdue, Iowa, Illinois, or Indiana?

GTHOH.

Nightmares? What are you talking about?

Oh, you don't follow football. Butch is playing Western Kentucky this week. I'm embarrassed for you. Big Butch fan, I see.

Careful what you guys wish for. Mork still has two other sons sitting around with nothing to do. And a daughter for that matter.

Ok, if that is your reasoning, I can see that. I thought you were saying not to hire him because of some #MeToo bullsh!t allegations. Too bad the administration will rely on the court of public opinion to convict a guy.

Kendal Briles is probably an obvious choice, but the cat's been out of the bag on him since Baylor. May be difficult to pull him from his alma mater, but he's clearly killing it at Houston this year. Not sure how realistic a choice he actually is, because his philosophy and implementation is so different than what Richt (and most other coaches) is used to.
Does his dads issues bring any problems?

You're right - I had no idea who FIU was playing.

You must follow pretty closely, though. Maybe you're a closet Butch fan . . .

when mork richt came to Miami he said "my biggest mistake at Georgia was giving up playcalling and I WILL NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN"

if anyone has trouble with the meaning of that statement , call 1-800-TRANSLATE
