I'm just mad that you gamys didn't listen to me almost 18 yrs ago when I was fighting for the Pirate.. That Jacory Harris class was crazy... Name me one class sense that had more potential.
That Jacory class had no business being #1....Waayyyy to Top heavy with LBers, and the downfall from Onion ****ing off every HS not named Northwestern or Booker T....

Yeah, sweet class. Randy literally took seven wide receivers in that class—and seven kids from Northwestern, most who proved to be entitled, overrated or underachieving.

Lots of on-paper star power; not a lot of stars—Travis Benjamin the only recruit there that had a solid little NFL career—while Sean Spence had his short run as a pro.

Always loved Mike Leach, but the man couldn't have cared less about defense and wanted to win shootouts—which was never going to work at Miami in the long run.

What we did pre Mario didn’t work anyway. I would have been happy to give the pirate a shot.

As for the class, it was a mirage. First off, the two five stars (Forston and Brown) never amounted to much here. Forston was a disappointing rotational player and Brown transferred out. THen when you look at the layout of the class (too many WRs and LBs) it becomes apparent that while mathematically it was the #1 class, it was BS. Lastly, take a look at what they accomplsihed here and in the pros. Not much.

While that 08 class had some very talented recruits, it had lazy recruiting in it also. That also happens to sum up Randy's recruiting while the HC for me, lazy and some other words. I didn't view it as Top 5 at the time.
