I am not posting this as a bashing thread. This is a legitimate question. What exactly does Jon Richt bring to the staff? His title is QB coach but CRM coaches QBs. You rarely hear his name associated with recruits which is odd since he is a young coach who you think would do well with recruits. So what exactly is his role in the staff? More support than anything?

I don't think he brings much to the table as you mention CMR is really coaching the qbs.. im sure he helps in a supportive role and motivator with the players but as you stated you do not hear his name associated with recruiting at all...that lead some to believe we have one less recruiter and one less truly competent coach on the staff..this is a problem that might need to change down the road..richt won't address this unless he feels the pressure which is not going to occur after year 1

As long as Rick is coach, he's going to be here. So why bītch about it? I'm sure they feel he fulfills a meaningful role. Message board malcontents won't change a thing.

If we wanted CMR to coach us at 4 mill a year, ONE of the stipulations were to take care of his kid by giving him a title and 300k a year salary. It is what it is. Kinda like Holloman and his brother package deal. I got no problem with it.

I am not b*tching. It is what it is. I am literally just asking what he does. You rarely hear him mentioned by players, staff or recruits.

So 1 year as offensive asst for Buffalo Bills prob making 40k and 1 year as quality control for Georgia. No way he's getting paid 300 with zero experience. He's also 25 years old.

He recruits the qbs. As far as coaching he works with richt coaching the qbs. Think richt is grooming him and brown for the future.

You're a bītching troll. Of course you are. Low post count. Starting 2 threads with the same topic. Asking a question that designed to engender resentment and talk of nepotism. This makes you not only a troll, but a cūnt troll.

Dude I have been on this forum longer than you have. I don't post much. Eat a ****.

Some might say mich offense can spare the offensive spot and u can always afford to hide weak coach at te (because they can learn to block with oline then go catch with wr)

We have very little expertise on offense besides richt.. he himself admits rust, probably wouldn't hurt to have someone who could help him and add something to our offense... some good offensive coaches available

He's a glorified GA

No chance that dude is making anywhere near what a true assistant coach makes

He doesn't have the resume to justify it

Real talk: I've got like 9 posts so you should ignore anything I say, even if it's got some merit.

Should've just hired Butch then.
