They won't get Yearby, but Taggart is legit. Wouldn't be shocked if he's gone from there in 3-4 years and gets an elite job.

That year was like the perfect storm for them and they fell into the #2 spot. I think something like 4 or 5 top 2 teams lost in consecutive weeks which shook the rankings.

2007 was an *** backward season.

The Border War (Kansas vs Mizzou) was played between the #1 and #2 teams that season. Dennis Dixon was the best player in college football before he got hurt. Boston College was ranked #2 at one point. I think it is safe to say we will not see another year like that for a LONG time.
 
USF was on a great trajectory, and were in fact ******* **** up a bit for the big 3, stealing a few recruits from each, but now they aren't in a major conference anymore, and its going to hurt them badly in my opinion. Much less TV, prestige, bowl alliances...
 
if college football in florida were the big 3 of miami heat:

Miami: James/Wade
Florida: Chris Andersen/Mike Miller crazy white boy combo
FSU: bosh when he's acting *** and scoring 0 points.

USF: the bench. not the players on the bench but literally the wooden bench players were sitting on.
FIU: heat dancers
FAU: water boy
UCF: bernie the mascot.
 
Crazy thing is, is USF would play it's cards right, spend some good money on some quality coaching, and properly develop some talent (i.e. Selvie on the Cowboys), they might actually be taken seriously. That squad is is a hotbed of talent, but as long as thing kinda bull**** flies, they are dead in the water:

One thing no one mentioned in those posts is the fact that elite kids don't want to play in that reject conference they are apart of. Say what you want about the ACC but at least we are in a real conference.
 
is this real life? I mean are their fans living in some kind of parallel universe?
