RB1

Fletcher is the type of running back this team will need to not only get to the playoffs but to get us to the national championship.

Go Canes!

If we are just running then right now thats Mallory. Unfortunately for him, more is needed of a rb. Mallory almost got mensah killed 2x against pitt. You really want Mallory out there the majority of the game against ND? Im willing to sacrifice a little in the run game to keep mensah healthy and throwing to toney

Not at all. Mark Fletcher literally just passed Edgerrin James to become second ALL TIME in rushing TDs at Miami. He is the alpha, the leader, the starter. Mallory is the perfect #2 for the season, no way in **** he should start over Fletcher.
Career stats mean nothing. James played like 2.5 seasons, comparing the two is useless.

Fletcher’s physicality will be needed in the playoffs, and he’ll remain RB1. Plus his blitz pickups have been much better this season, and that’s needed with an OL that struggled to communicate on passing downs. But Mallory might be the better pure RB right now, and deserves about 8-10 touches a game minimum.

Are we getting to a point where Mallory should be RB1? Could we even do that to Mark Fletcher in his final year after all he’s done for the program?
Fletcher is too good at pass prop.
Mallory is good, but with Fletcher you don't know if its pass/run. While Mallory, its more likley a run.

Dude come on, why do you even put this garbage out there?. Mark Fletcher is the heart and soul of this football team and he is the best running back on this football team. End of story! Mallory will have his time but this year it’s RB2 for him and I’m grateful to have him in that position. People got too much time on here. SMH

Mallory has a better pass blocking grade than Fletcher (9 less attempts) by the way. It’s not as telling as earlier in the season.

PFF obviously not end all be all, but just throwing it out there.

If you really pay close attention to PFF then I lost all hope for you

Yes. Stats and feelings don’t matter. Wins do. Play whoever it takes to win the natty. Same goes for Mali. Getting him yards and TDs in garbage time, but getting him hurt doing so is borderline running instead of kneeling against GT.

I want them to win awards too, but the best award is the natty and their health.

As I said, it’s not end all be all. Their grades have flaws based on weight distribution, etc. But when you find a better analytical site (or comparable one), other than bro ball fandom like king slurper HStokes, lmk and I’ll happily take a look.

You know he doesn’t, and we also know that this site itself loves it when the numbers are in our players’ favor, when not, it’s take it with a grain of salt…
But he still mentioned it....if he didn't follow it then he wouldn't have said ****.

Here’s another site that’s pretty solid for team-level metrics, but check out EPA/rush…and our team-level explosiveness when running…

Not here to butt heads with people that understand analytics, just the ones that refuse to let data into their lives.

Nothing against Mark, he’s a wonderful leader, human, great Cane and will go down as one of the most important players we’ve had in the last decade. An amazing story too with his father passing, I will root for him for as long as he plays, and after football as well.

He’ll be the first to tell you Mallory is that dude and deserves some extra touches.

No disrespect but I don't give a **** about analytics in sports. So yea I will forever refuse for it to enter my life. That's not how games are played.

You are right. He did. I’m just intruding tonight point out he doesn’t blindly follow it or use it for a narrative.

You are very feisty… I like it! Might I suggest Angry Shooter McGavin as a friendly suggestion…

I need you to call the Yankees and tell them this. Or strongly worded email. Finger wagging. Something to get them to stop what they are doing.

LMAO. Got it brother - that’s why I let the main board main board it, and why Vegas will always have golden domes.

Rays and Brewers definitely bro balled it. Same with Cig and Chesney.

Analytics is everything.
