Have we called a simple slip screen all year??

With how aggressive some teams are being, that play has been there the last couple of weeks.

Please add it to the ****nal, Dawson.

Offense has been great overall. Just confused why we haven’t seen one of these yet. Would love to get our backs the ball in space.

Dawson doesnt seem to have RB screen in playbook, hasnt called one this season.. Not sure about last year

Miami has tried screens this season, I can think of a couple to CJ24 that didn't do much. I'm just curious, are we complaining that an offense that scores almost FIFTY POINTS PER GAME isn't running enough of a specific kind of screen? Dawson calls WR and TE screens regularly to great effect.

Ya, agreed. Cam also needs to check the ball down more when the big play isn’t there instead of running around like a mad man.
On that crazy pick he threw he had Martinez wide open right in front of him but decided to try and throw a 40-50 pass back across the middle off his back foot…if he had a Check down would he throw it to him .

For those complaining about the thread, I just asked a question. If you guys don’t like engaging in X and Os, click a different thread to talk about uniforms or something else stupid.
The point of the matter is that this offense is extremely effective as is, we're nitpicking about screens. Never mind the fact that they've been called, and most of them have ended poorly. This team prefers to run WR/TE screens, which have proven to be somewhat effective. Maybe once Lyle gets to the lead back spot, those screens will take off, but Martinez and Fletch aren't screen tailbacks. They can be of use in the passing game(Especially Martinez), but more as a checkdown option.

Right. I was screaming for him to dump it down to DM. He didn’t, and it brought Duke back in it. However, this is who he is. For these bad plays, there’s also the launch to JG against UF and the first TD of today’s game. You can’t have just the good.

We have. We had one against USF that went for a big gain.

The issue is, and we saw this yesterday: Classic HB Screens are difficult when your QB drops back and the defense is in a contained rush. You have D-Linemen looking up, sometimes even spying and looking in the backfield... the moment someone moves laterally, they are chasing.

I am more than fine with the screen game we currently have, in fact, it gave us some big plays this season both executed and as a setup play.

if it's not 30 WR screens it's not in the playbook
