Madre committed to Michigan State today. He will produce up there as he is a big bruising big 10 back. He'll play some right away as he is physically ready. IMO he's better than Gus Edwards.

Gus is better than Madre in every aspect of the game. Gus is bigger, faster, stronger, catches better, blocks better, is more elusive and plays harder than Madre.

From watching both of the play, I feel that Madre runs better downhill and is a more physical runner than Gus. Obviously he's not as elusive as Gus because his 60 is 4.65 compared to Gus' 4.5 but him and Gus are not meant to be elusive they are big backs expected to take contact and pick up tough yards. Madre has proved himself against premier south florida talent as Gus played those Upstate NY schools. I think Madre runs with authority, and gets the job done he will be a vey productive back up there.

How did Gus play upstate schools? He's from Staten Island. That's NYC, downstate.

Of course, back in the day, upstate NY used to produce great RBs. The only Cane RB in the College Football HOF--Don Bosseler, and one of the greatest RBs I ever say, the Elmira Express, Ernie Davis. The latter was the most tragic story among Heisman winners, ever.
