@TNmiami , how are all of these Canadian backs ending up in Tennessee?
Not just backs, they recruit every position heavily. Gabriel Osenda, 5* OT is from Alberta, Canada.

It’s mostly McCallie and Baylor because they are boarding schools. Canadian players used to go in prep school in the NE like Maine or New York but they didn’t have much visibility while in the South, theres eyes on them every week.

IIRC last year, other TN schools complained because Baylor and McCallie had unfair advantages and they wanted to limit the Numbers of international players to 2 per year. I don’t know if it was voted or not.

the school in florida closed down...Clearwater International so TN got the windfall from that with those 2 schools.

Some are still int he northeast prep schools....and i heard some are at st pete catholic in tampa area....basically the best canadian kids...was hoping to get 2-4 to come to south fla to play...apparently rtheir is a freakshow dt my connect told me about.

Actually, we just got Sainteus another Zoe. Miami should be the most expert and best at recruiting Haitian ball players. Also, climate and distance

McCallie and Baylor got a pipeline in Quebec but the kids are going everywhere now (Theres an 27’ OT in Texas who visited Miami for the Stanford game)

Didn’t know Clearwater closed down, that was a big one. I know McCallie has been recruiting Quebec for at least a decade now.

The DT kid is still in Canada? In the 28’ class theres Isaac Lukuni that’s in GA. 6’3, 280lbs DT. I expect him to get recruited by bigger school like Boucard who went to Central.

Honestly im not 100% sure, I just know thay baylor school and mccallie are very highly regarded institutions. Baylor has kids come there world wide. It looks like a college campus. Each sport has its own building. As well as great academics

We have like 5ish P4 kids from Canada

I live in Chattanooga and have seen this kid play. I don't claim to be an expert, but if he doesn't become a college star, I'd be shocked.

Now, as to why so many Canadians. Yes, both Baylor and McCallie have boarding options, but it really started during Covid when Canadian high schools cancelled their seasons. A lot of the kids came down to McCallie or Baylor and it created a pipeline that's still going. My 13 year old plays club soccer with a lot of kids from Baylor and the talk around there is he's going to Tennessee or Ohio State, but who knows.

During the Golden years, Coley was really high on a QB from Baylor. I had no idea why because he wasn't that good. He ended up going to Mississippi State before transferring to UT-Chattanooga where he was ok.

Also, Peyton Manning's son (8th grader) just started at Baylor this year.

He should go to Texas and NIL bag 💼 then sit on the bench with all the other five 5 star RB , then they can continue to portal with there bag 💼 to get more bag 💼.
