Napier not going anywhere. Between him and his staff a buyout would be close to 40 million before possible paying a new coach’s buyout and his contract. I’d expect significant staff changes and that recruiting class will take some hits.

The most likely scenario is the turds lose out.

But in no way will Sling Blade Billy get fired. IMO that’s just not in the cards.

Now, if he goes like 4-8 or 5-7 next year, then we’ll talk.

Even then, I’m not sure that it would happen. You have to consider the payout, the fact that this hire is on Stricklin, their AD, so he’s going to do everything he can to keep Sling Blade and say he needs more time. Because if Sun Belt Sling Blade gets fired, so does Stricklin.

And again, the payout is huge.
