Ray lewis

Ray was great as a player going through the stages. From high school to college, from college to pro. He was just greatness all through the stages. His greatness peak wasn’t at Miami and that’s why he’s not. There are better LBs at Miami than Ray Lewis. Ray won in the league. Ray Lewis wishes he was Dan Morgan in college.
Thanks for your post that has substance. I was inspired to start this post for 3 reasons. 1) dan Patrick had a sit down with ray and I just loved his story and what he went through. 2) he’s not only favorite football player but human being as well because of the good he does in the community of Baltimore. I would imagine he does a lot for the Miami community as well. 3) on that interview with Patrick he went into detail about the specifics of the murder case he was involved in and explained what he was charged with. I just felt like the media painted a bad picture of ray. Lastly a year or two ago I had a positive comment on Facebook about a speech he did and people were calling him a murderer and a coon for the kapernick deal. It bothered me because he does so much good and he’s a great player and since I’ve been on this forum I just surprisingly don’t hear people reference him much in regards to great Miami linebackers and I thought there was maybe a dislike for ray in regards to the issues I just mentioned.

Ray Lewis was as good a LB as I ever seen at Miami. He left early and wasn’t on a contending team, and so didn’t get Morgan’s accolades, but he shed blocks and made plays as well as anyone who played here.

Ray Lewis is in my opinion the single best defensive player in the history of football, bar none. Not only for his on field play, but for his leadership and motivational impact. Players respected him, responded to him, were inspired by him, believed in him and followed him. And his teams defenses were amongst the best. Baltimore’s first SB team was the best defense ever, statistically.

Dude. Stop it. No offence to DM but I'd take college Ray over college DM all day, everyday.

random Thoughts....I just joined this forum during the summer and I’m kinda confused on why ray Lewis isn’t talked about as far as greatest players out of the U or why he isn’t referenced more is their a distain/ hate for ray by the hurricane family?

are you Ray's publicist?

I think it’s a legit question. Probably should have left out the “is there a disdain for Ray in Miami?” part because I’ve never heard anyone say a bad thing about him. Why isn’t he talked about more? 1. He was a better pro than college player (even though he was severely underrated in college as well probably because he was undersized and had a very low profile coming out of high school) 2. Teams he was on at Miami weren’t great 3. It’s been a while since he was at Miami

Your right after I typed it I was like “ I shouldn’t have said that part” 😆 some things are better said then typed things get easily misconstrued.
