The good news is:
1. He has a pretty good track record of coaches getting better jobs after working for him.
2. Miami is a place where coaches are willing/wanting to go because they can get great talent and win titles while living in paradise.
3. The admin is willing to spend..we stole Clemson's AD, Michigan's OC, turned a D1 OC into a QB coach, have a former head coach as an assistant. $$$ won't be an issue if there's a fit.
Speaking of Clemson, Dabo is also that type of coach and after losing Venebles they have a pretty underwhelming coaching staff. It hasn’t messed up their recruiting yet though.

Mario is a great leader/CEO type which is the same style as saban. If Nicky Didn’t have the best coaches that money could buy around him, do you think he would be as successful(guy has nfl head coaches as coordinators and analyst)? Mario needs to have a great coaching staff around him to be successful as well. Think he has put together that type of staff, prob top 5 in the country. It’s going to be interesting to see how we pivot when our assistants start getting head coaching jobs.
It’s always about the people a leader surrounds themself with. One man CAN’T do it all.

Serious question? Is there such a thing as an expert prediction. Doesn't the word "prediction" signify lack of expertise?
Are you expecting guarantees? Economy experts and job market experts and political experts all make predictions based on sound numbers, experience, practices, history, and theories. That doesn’t mean they’re not experts.

But no, I wouldn’t call Gary an expert.
