Rankings…

Mizzou is not a top 15 team, it’s the sec circle jerk that allows them to shuffle teams like that. Mizzou’s only claim is they kept it close against bama.
This: Mizzou is and has always been *** (minus 2007). They were a joke until they joined the SEC, now they are artificially I flawed every year. The same has been true of TAMU until now.

And we have a win vs ND, a 2-loss team propped up by media bc they're ND.

Your argument is based solely on cherry-picking.
You mean the team that lost in the title game last year and now has a better QB? ND is probably a top 5 team right now.

They are not necessarily.

If GT and Lville win out and play in the ACC champ game and Gt wins are they taking an 11-1 Miami over Louisville who beat them in Miami?

If not you are asking a lot from the committee to put 3 ACC teams in the playoffs.

I’m not saying this is how the season necessarily shakes out. My point is going 11-1 and getting in is not a sure thing.
Feels like this year especially is going to have ****ed fans.

The head to head thing with Louisville beating Miami. But then Miami beat ND. You couldn’t justify putting them on over UM who beat ND and had fewer losses right?

I agree. At 11-1 there is no way we should be below any 2-loss team.

No I would hope not. But even without that, there’s 10 spots with 1 G5 and 1 Big 12. We will see what happens. Hopefully we win out and Louisville more than anyone else loses a game somewhere.

Vandy should. They are 3-1 vs ranked teams (although win vs #10 USCe isn’t impressive anymore.

Miami goes 11-1 and they’re in. 11-1 with ACC title, they are top 4
The answer to a 12 team playoff when you’re 11 and one should never be well you should’ve gone undefeated that’s the part that drives me nuts

Just gotta keep winning…we gave them the chance to ***** us …..
Sorry, but this logic is bull****. The national champion had two losses last year before the conference championship. Not too many teams are allowed that you and I both know that stop with this bull****.

Of the 9 teams below Miami, there are only two games that feature an opponent ranked inside the top 15. GT plays UGA and Vandy plays Tennessee. So if the teams below us win the games they should then you're looking at:

1) OSU
2) Indiana
3) Texas A&M
4) Bama
5) Oregon
6) Ole Miss
7) Winner of GT/UGA

In addition, you'll get a guaranteed spot for the BIG12 and G5 schools.

8) USF/Memphis
9) Texas Tech/Cincy/BYU

Then the possibility exists that Vandy beats Tennessee.

10) Vandy

That's a razor thin margin for the final two spots.

The nightmare scenario is GT beats UGA, Louisville goes undefeated the rest of the way, makes it to the ACCCG and beats GT. You'll have two ACC teams locked into the playoff that looks like this:

1) OSU
2) Indiana
3) Texas A&M
4) Bama
5) Oregon
6) Ole Miss
7) GT
8) Vandy
9) G5 Team
10) BIG12 Team
11) Louisville

The 12th spot will come down to Miami, Notre Dame, and UGA. That's not a fun spot to be in.

Wait 'til you find out that college football never, ever plays out with all the favorites beating the underdogs, especially in November. If we finish 11-1, we will be around #6.

There are going to be a few top 10 upsets in the coming weeks... as long as we stay out that group, we should be fine.
But then again knowing the trend from the last few seasons, we should be focused on getting our job done.
November hasn't been kind to us.

Amen. None of this matters if we're not 11-1.
