Clemson lost zero ACC games and beat UNC and FSU. So yes last year they were solo in the top tier of the ACC. So FSU had a better season in 2013 and their ranked higher now? No.

However, I moved FSU up in mine because their team is pretty stacked this year. Still think we beat them and so does Clemson.

So, i dont care what Clemson did last year. I care about Clemson's program as a whole; and potential. They have no ships. Even when they win one they won't be in a tier if their own.

They JUST finally beat FSU with all that talent and success and can't even win their own conference consistently. 7 years and 2 conference titles with no ships and no undefeated season but their in a tier of their own? Thats fair. Hard to disagree that FSU at least went undefeated and clemson finally beat them once. You're also right that I did say the "the next 2 years" instead of last year, and considering they just lost a huge part of their defense nobody really knows if Clemson will be able to retain a top 15 defense as of right now.

With that said I would still put Clemson in Tier 1, as a team that could finish in the top 6...But I stand behind originally putting FSU and Miami right up there with them in Tier 1. I refuse to put UNC up there however because I strongly believe last year was special for them...and they still got murked by a 4th string QB?

I was just defending the opinion of others who felt like Clemson was the best team in the conference at the moment. But with your points, I must agree that it is debateable and "Clemsoning" until they actually have an undefeated season.

Yeah, it is pretty dumb. Because Clemson is the only team consistently picked to be a playoff team this year. But keep bringing up three years ago because that's relevant.

The question is pertaining to the upcoming season not overall long term program strength. For the 2016 season, the only playoff caliber team in the ACC is Clemson. I don't care about FSU winning a title in 2013. FSU has a great talent on defense and a Heisman candidate at running back but until somebody shows me they can be a capable quarterback, they're a two loss (minimum) team.

They have 56 wins in the past 5 years. Nobody on their current team has ever won less than 10 games a year. They've gone over 4 years since they lost to a team that wasn't ranked. So stop bringing up them choking when teams like FSU, UGA, Oregon, USC etc...all lose to unranked teams more often then Clemson does.
