I think you'd be hard pressed to find a recent class of ours (or anyone's, really), that had so few fliers. We got kids who can play and very few "projects". That's gonna make ranking this group tough.

I think we may all be selling Malek Young a little short. I remember reading somewhere recently that Malek was the best player on his high school team, just not the best prospect. These recruiting rankings have a lot to do with who projects well not just to college but to the NFL.

This is something Golden could never wrap his head around. We don't need 6'1 corners when we play in the god**** ACC coastal. 90% of the teams we play don't have stud 6'4 future NFL receivers running around. A guy like Malek Young isn't just relegated to nickel slot for his career. In the NFL he would be. But in the ACC coastal an athletic 5'9 guy can play on the outside against a 6'1 receiver.

Solid list, here's mine:

1. Ahmmon Richards
2. Shaquille Quarterman
3. Joseph Jackson
4. Zach McCloud
5. Sam Bruce
6. Dionte Mullins
7. Travis Homer
8. Romeo Finley
9. Jack Allison
10. Patrick Bethel
11. Malek Young
12. Mike Pinckney
13. Cedrick Wright
14. Jovani Haskins
15. Jeff James
16. Tyreic Martin
17. Michael Irvin Jr
18. Tre Johnson

This may seem like an indictment of Jack but it's not. I'm just a big fan of the guys ahead of him.

I like this list... I believe you've nailed your bottom 7 accurately, in the sense of they're most likely to Redshirt.

12. Mike Pinckney
13. Cedrick Wright
14. Jovani Haskins
15. Jeff James
16. Tyreic Martin
17. Michael Irvin Jr
18. Tre Johnson

...And of course Jack Allison redshirts as well...

I think that Joseph Jackson is going to become a beast and a future high first round pick. The LB's are going to be a nasty group as well as the wideouts.
Class is small in size, but large in quality.

To me, Johnson, Martin and Bethel/James are the bottom 3/4 and that's not a bad bottom 3/4 to have, as swagger pointed out.

You got Zach mccloud and rated way too low in my opinion.for sure top 5 talent in the class

too bad we couldn't say the same for the corner position, we have a great LB class that all 3 will be starters soon, wideout we went ham too bad that williams didn't come this would have been a elite wideout class

I think potential for play makers in this class is the best thing about it. You can see the building of dynamic offense. And the lb's can build a great core unit for a dominant defense in a few seasons. Overall it's a good class in a transition season, hopefully Richt can build to lines in '17 and fill out the roster with a 30+ man class.

Williams would of been a good pick up if we didn't get Bruce , Richards and Mullin. What we really needed after landing those speedy WR is a big body WR.
