I think you come across as someone who has never coached or taught a thing. You come across as a person who has never led a group or built a team of any type. Unless you know these coaches on a personal level it is hard to give a realistic opinion. You want dynamic teachers no matter what their age or experience level. Get those guys and you will win! Boise St. Has went this direction and has been very successful.

I never defended golden, I have been wanted golden gone since the penn state fiasco but posters on this site just continue that dumbass narrative to further their agenda...

I agree as well. UNC gave up more yards to Clemson this year than we did, in our worst loss in program history. Chizik was a splashy hire that did not translate to greatness on the field. I haven't been a very active poster on this forum, so I can't really judge the OP's history, but I have to agree with many of the others on this thread. I think it is premature to judge this staff before they've even coached one practice, much less one game. And I think you are giving too much credit to some coaching staffs in the ACC who have not done so well recently.

I will say this...based on the names, resumes and track records, I like this staff much better than anything Golden put together.

I think you have to if you're looking at the complete staff (not just the HC)

UNC has Larry Fedora's offense and Genr Chizik's defense, and a number of qualified assistants.

VT has Fuente's offense mixed with Bud Foster's defense.

I think either of those combinations are just a bit better than Mismu's, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Not only are Foster and Chizik better defensive coordinators than Diaz, but also looking at the defensive assiststants from top to bottom they are better.

Each school also hired more qualified S&C coaches

I see what you're saying, and I might be overly optimistic here, but I really see Diaz's defense as more likely being the #11 one in the country ( i think in 2011 or 2012) and not the other terrible years at UT while the SS Brown sunk and together with coach Kool I think we'll be very solid. I also think Rumph will excel beyond expectations, he can coach.

I actually really like the staff we brought in and this is all obviously speculative ( since we haven't played a down under the staff), but I don't see us not being 3rd in the ACC atm if Richt calls plays ( which I will hope reflects his first 7 years at Georgia)

Diaz has a mediocre track record, and that's when he has help. This year, he'll be splitting his time as DC coaching linebackers himself, as well as babysitting two green DB coaches who have never coached before.

It's s recipe for disaster.

Do not ban and at the same time when people say our D will get worse ........ my god
- our D coord coached at Texas and an SEC school
- last guy came from Temple

Some of our fans love to complain as a reason to NOT go to the games

LmaO.... so a Va Tech coaching staff is better, but they havent done anything yet?? Smdh.... some of you posters dumb as ****.... I'll say Clemson, Louisville and maybe FSU....although statistically FSU was worse on both sides of the ball this year outside of Cook.... no other staff is better than ours....

I am not sure how to rank the various staffs, but clearly we have been out-coached by a growing number of schools for the last 10 years. This has resulted in many, many, loses to team with lesser talent. I doubt that any team in the ACC will have a big enough talent advantage over Mark and new staff to overcome our talent advantage now. I see the ONLY threats going forward as FSU and Clemson if they have better or maybe equal talent. Clearly we could have beaten FSU the last two years and almost did despite our coaching. I think Mark beat Noles this year and wins coastal easily. I am not so certain about Clemson if we play them in title game. Don't get me wrong, I am not impressed by most of Mark's staff but Kool alone will change the balance of power by moving the attack to the other side of the line of scrimmage where Canes have always hunted. Oh, and Mark has got to be better at play calling than Coley.
 
Unc Staff is not ahead of us. Chizik is done as a coach and doesn't have cam Newton anymore. They are also the least paid staff in the country which tells ya they weren't garnering too many offers elsewhere

Obvious bull. If you examine those staffs with the same standards you would realize how stupid you are. Please go position by position for them.
