Randy Shannon was an idiot.

Has anyone other than Jedd Fisch (HC at Arizona and now Washington) and Blake Baker (DC at LSU) enjoyed any success since leaving Coral Gables?

Golden eventually (allegedly) recreated himself as a DC, not sure that counts.
 
He had Arthur Brown in chains in the doghouse! Every time we saw him play he was killing ****!
What makes me the most upset when I look back is Al Golden. If it were not for his ego and stubbornness, he likely wins big here. His defensive philosophy was just the worst **** I’ve ever seen! But it’s undeniable that he had an eye for talent. He turned so many 2-3 star guys into NFL talents. Just ran that stupid *** WEFENSE!

I believe that bs, if you ever had haters or grew up with cats hating on your squad you know this is highly likely.

And what do people hate? When a young cat gets all the fame or the ladies, so I will believe this bs story and be that fool.

I'll say this much:

I wanted RS to succeed. Because thats how the story should've gone. A guy from the streets, three family members died of AIDS, a Miami Hurricane linebacker, a great defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Steps forward as an alumni to get the team back.

His defenses as HC were OK, but his offenses were absolutely atrocious.

He got Jacory, Laron Byrd, Aldarius Johnson, et.al. He got Mark Whipple to replace Nix and tried to run an Air Raid offense. Didn't work.

Gameday decisions that were baffling. That computer bowl against Cal, had some of the most baffling decisions I've ever seen. **** Mario has done some stuff, but it was no comparison to Shannon.

He was the guy that should've stayed a DC. He was fired after 8-4.

Honestly, you can say what you want about Shannon and Golden, but Coker was the ultimate program virus.

Yes he won in 2001. (He was the weakest part of that team.) If Jimmy Johnson was the HC of that team, he would've broken offensive and defensive records that might still stand to this day.

He almost won again after 2002 (Again, he was the weakest part of that team).

Then when Butch Davis' players started going into the NFL, and Coker had to recruit talent, there was a steady drop off in talent. Horrible offenses.

He then fired all the staff to save his job. That hurt the program worse than anything Shannon or Coker did.

Randy didn't learn anything from Jimmy Johnson I guess. Jimmy embraced the talent on the team.
 
Let’s start with Coker - a dolt, simply. Had zero connection with team, or anyone else. A hire of laziness. Players basically told him to shut up, just stand there and we got this.

Shannon, a tool, DEI hire by the Midget Commie. But it takes two to tango, he allowed it.

Golden, program in decline, culture was well on its way to being destroyed. This hire was made to complete the job. Turn Miami in to Pedo State, South. Greatest clown of all time, every time I see footage of this guy patrolling our sideline dressed like Jo Pa, I throw up.

Then there is Tranny Maiz. Scum of the earth, unqualified to even take out the garbage at the facility. A hire of favors. Father is Miami mayor, a terrible one at that but well connected. Head of FL DNC, Midget Commies pal, so she makes a call and Tranny gets job. Instrumental in nailing the final nail in the coffin. And we are at our lowest point.

Thankfully, the Gators are and Noles are giving us a run for our money. The Turds literally had their "Gruden" moment last year.

Jacory and AJ Highsmith were the lone qbs. Absolutely insane....then Jacory gets hurt in 2010. ******* Spencer Whipple comes in and looked about as good as a 4th grader at qb and then they had to burn Morris redshirt. **** I would have put in a hurt Highsmith over Whipple.
