Nice to see him win one, but as he was answering a question he said how great it was to be home and get a win for the Gator fans who deserved it.

Then I guess looking to endear himself to the Gator faitful added, "This is the only place I've ever been where a fan, is a fan, is a fan; they're not fickle and only show up when you're winning."

Gator fans got used to success too. Give them a 56% winning effort over 4 years like he did at Miami and let's see how loyal they would be, even if they are the only act in town for people's entertainment dollar.

(edit) We followed that piece of trash to freakin’ Traz for a spring game while other programs sell tix to their’s. He’s a small minded coach who’s time has passed.

Shannon fails to acknowledge that UF has 5x the student base that Miami has. That definitely plays a major role in selling tickets. Not to mention comparing the two cities...Gainesville..MIAMI. Like it or not. Miami will always be a fair weather town across the board.
 
Hopefully Radio gets the job and if that happens tell me how great those fans are after 4 years of his coaching.
 
No one cares about this pathetic coach except florida fans who are thanking their lucky stars he has been bad enough to take him self out of any contention for the head coaching job.
 
That fvcker was given EVERY chance to succeed here. Fact is, he's a **** terrible head coach (I personally think he's a **** DC as well, but that's neither here nor there) and every word out of his mouth is either delusional or a lie. Also, let's never forget that the Nevin Shapiro debacle is on him and his coaches. So fack you to Radio.

I don't give a **** if you're Michigan. If your team sucks, no one wants to watch that.

Everybody loves a winner. Having a fickle fanbase is not exclusive to Miami.

Take his cane card away. I had given him a pass based on his history as a PLAYER at the U. But this ****? **** him and revoke his card.
 
Randy Shannon = Special education student. Him and Golden run neck and neck as the worst coaches in the school's history. Thanks Donna.
 
If I were a reporter, I would've asked Randy

"Well Coach, how do you feel being in the only place that stops playing teams because they can't beat them? Weren't you on that team?"

Of course Randy would give me the stare and I would be escorted out, but somebody has to ask the tough questions. :)

On the off chance you care why I downvoted, it's that bit about wishing Randy well. As long as Randy is at uf, he gets no nice things. I hope he loses every game. I hope he gets daily flat tires and his sodas are always almost flat. I hope he loses a sock every single time he does laundry. I hope all his felt-tipped pens dry out.
