there is no living in the past, dude has one bad year at a different school, with different types of players, not being able to hire his own assistants, and now he is a bad DC. Now I can see a reasoning for that if it was his 3rd year and he did not make any progress, but it is his 1st year.

When was the last time Randy had a successful stint as a HC or DC?

Florida Gators, in his first year defense ranks 20th then in the next year defense ranks 5th. Nobody said hire him as a HC, so I don't know why you brought that up. Every Job he has been at when he is on the Defense, regardless of LB coach or DC the defenses have been ranked high, bessides his first year at UCF. He was just as average as any HC was anyway in college football, all he had to do was go into spread attack instead of keep the pro-style offenses and I guaranteed you his tenure at Miami as a HC would have gone completely different. So slap yourself
