-we bunch our WRs in tight too often, esp when we run out of those sets. It allows the defense to stack the box. I’d like to see Enos mix in more wide sets.

-Brevin is a solid blocker.

-our DTs contribute nothing

-neither does Gurvan Hall. And to continue on last week’s conversation, yes he does lack range. And he plays timid.

The good thing is I am numb to losses anymore. Doesn’t affect my mood like it used to. I’m just happy to be able to watch football on the weekend.

You guys bashing this Kid hall for bad coaching play calling and putting your young guys in bad position. Look at this free release given on 4 & 17. You have to help your young safeties out not put them in hopeless predicament. I’ve watched and played plenty of football and never seen this bad of a call

This makes sense to me. I know Patchan graded out well on PFF but he doesn’t make impact plays.

The trajectory of joe Jackson was the same. As a freshman he was a speed edge rusher. After 3 years of lifting he was moved to SDE and did a great job.

Garvin at SDE, assuming he can hold up, gives you everything Patchan does, along with the ability to make splash plays. And it gets GR on the field for desperately needed playmaking from our DL.

In fact, given how pedestrian our DTs have been, I wouldn’t mind seeing Patchan slide inside.

It was tipped. And the extra point was swatted easily. Baxa's struggling enough on his own. You can't make it more difficult for him.
 
How about we line up with NOBODY at fullback more often? Too much playing in a phone booth for my taste.

Hodges at FB looked painful. Like, I don't know, someone from CIS suited up and went out there to whiff at blocks. Might as well have played those plays with 10 guys. If he's going to look that bad, simply don't run those plays. Players first, then plays. If you don't have the guys to run the play, you don't run the **** play. That, to me, was VERY telling about how Enos coaches, and it's not a good thing. You play with what you have, not with what you wish you had.
 
Looking at the roster I think it would be beneficial to the team and player to RS McCould this season. Could really use some experience at the position next season and could help the kid if he wants to have a NFL career. He would have two more games this season.

Inside backers get out flanked by the running backs in their alignment which makes them susceptible to the dump pass to the flats in man coverage. (See Florida and UNC game for this)
