1. Searles has to go. His unit is an abomination. They couldn't dominate freaking Savannah St.

2. Donaldson needs to move back to guard like yesterday. He is in over his head at RT.

3. We need to see more of Scaife, Reed and Gaynor.

4. We need to see a lot less of Jones and Mahoney.

5. Lorenzo Lingard is electrifying. The coaches need to figure out how to get this kid the rock. Play this kid!

6. Nesta Silvera is an animal with a nonstop motor. He will be starting next to Willis very soon. He's going to be a good one.

7. Jeff Thomas is the definition of elite. We haven't had a playmaker like him at WR since Santana Moss.

8. Jordan and Mallory are going to be a lethal duo at TE.

9. Amari Carter is beginning to put it together. Give him another year and this kid is going to be very good.

10. Gurvan Hall needs to play more.

11. What has happened to our starting LBs? McCloud has been invisible. Pinckney has been quiet and Shaq has been ok. We have excellent depth here with more on the way.

12. Manny Diaz needs to be relieved of his LB coaching duties. Patke is not the answer. Anyone have Barrow's phone number?

13. Depth at WR is insanely ridiculous. Talent and playmaking ability everywhere.

14. Robert Burns is going to develop into a player. He will be the thunder to Lingard's lightning.

15. There is a lot of talent between the 3 young QBs. What they need is reps. They all have great potential.

16. We need a legit QB coach.

17. Deejay is a gamer but he needs to slim down a little.

18. Trajan Bandy is a special player. His presence seems to lift this defense.

19. Storm 18 will go down as one of the best classes in our history.

20. These early seniority based depth charts are silly and counterproductive. The best players need to play.

Jeff Thomas is exactly what they mean by a non-Miami guy being a “Miami guy.” Dude is electric and is rarely truly covered on a play. He’s only getting better at specials too.

Unless I am wrong, Patke strictly coaches the striker position. The results of that position two games in is neutral. But why hire a guy for one position? We need someone to coach up that whole unit. I wonder if Vilma would be interested.

This...dammit why not hire a full time special teams coach? Its too important for sniper to be worried about slayin the recruiting trail, coaching our 2 stud true frosh TEs, AND run the entire STs unit!! Let Hartley loose on the trail at all times...then when he wants to come home and lay his head down have him throw some pointers at our stud TEs. Thats it

If true, that's a ridiculous waste of a coaching position.

when Jaquan and Redwine were back at safety i noticed Amari Carter in the game in the box.. was this a nickel d.. or did they have him in at striker?

agrred on all and will add one:

- teams are loading the box and litzing almost every down, you have to develop an intermediate passing game with outs, digs, slants, chinas, posts and catch and run

On third and long Carter comes in and plays some kind of sniper position. He either blitzes or spies the qb. If you recall they started this late last year. He was actually playing that position against ND on the Bandy pick six.

Jeff Thomas reminds me of Antonio Brown. His build, speed, and route running

Savannah State had 78 total yards of total offense and turned the ball over four times.

Maybe the coach bashing should be saved for another day.

After two games, when all the big boys have played one tough game and a cupcake - Miami is #7 in total defense.

maybe our lb's just arent that good. maybe its not just coaching but their instincts. it seems like jennings and steed have a more natural feel for the game than mccloud and pickney. i wondering if striker was created to mask the defincincies at LB

i agree on deejay

Isn't he basically a glorified recruiter?

Hired to make up for Coach Kul's lack of.... enthusiasm on the recruiting trail?

OP, well done. My main fear is whether or not Richt can exploit these players, figure out how to get them the rock, play to your strengths. We rarely throw to the TE's, have no short game to stop teams from pinning their ears, do not play the best player at each position. This upperclassmen thing with Richt is total bull****, you play your best player no matter how old he is (Lingard). Also didn't Richt sit Thomas last week for jumping rosier's *** at halftime ? That's such a puzzy move by richt, no wonder UGA fired his ads, I don't believe MR has the fire in his belly to win, he learned nothing from being fired. He will consistently win here sure, but he won't be winning the big ones, just like UGA
