Tough loss to end a great regular season.

Rosier simply didn't have it today. More than anything, I think this shows just how valuable he's been to the team throughout the season.

We badly needed to establish the running game today and it wasn't there either. Pitt played tough in the trenches & wanted this game more. If there was ever a day we needed the running game, this was it (because Rosier simply didn't have it). The OL simply didn't have a great game.

Injuries to Herndon and Richards clearly didn't help.

Missed opportunities on D (but this loss wasn't on the D as we didn't score near enough points to win). Think highly of Bandy but he should of at least batted down that pass that deflected off his hands into the receiver's arms. Letting their QB score a TD on that 4th down play in the fourth quarter was an absolute killer as well (different defensive call likely would have prevented that).

Feagles is great at short high punts that limit returns & pinning opponents inside the 20 but he needs a long ball. We lost the battle of field position for most of the game. He needs to be able to boom one once in a while. It was a big factor in this game.

Where is Langham? He hasn't been terrific since his two big moments but he also hasn't received many targets at all. Where was Cager?

In limited action, Shireffs simply hasn't shown much. He may have competed well in Spring Ball but he's been ineffective moving the offense in limited action (granted, it has been very limited action). Rosier has pulled out every miracle comeback this season. Go out on the same horse you rode in on. It's easy to say this in hindsight but I do actually think this was not the right call as we wasted a critical series.

Let's keep some perspective and be grateful for a tremendous regular season. If the team rallies and wins the ACC CG & a great bowl game, it will have been a tremendous year. We likely still need a couple of additional exceptional recruiting classes to be all the way back. This team has achieved a lot and it has been a great season (even though this one hurts & is disappointing).

Overall, Canes football is trending in the right direction & we can be thankful for that.
