We are what we are. A little better than middling P5 program right now. Quit the f'n crying already and expecting a playoff berth every year. The entitled doomsday crybaby routine is over done. Donate a couple 10 million to buy us an 'elite' coaching staff or STFU and move on. Quit making this place unbearable to the rest of us who want to talk football rather than ***** and moan.

We are a perennial 7-5 and 8-4 team. We no longer get the best players from the state. And our coaching staff have been a failure for 15 years. We can’t develop anything. Until you pay $$ and get and accomplished P5 staff we will struggle. We have to get over the old Miami image. We need a change from top to bottom. No more legacies.
 
We are 8-8 against UNC since joining the ACC. Which means we have about a 50% chance against them every year. Odds are we beat them next year just because.

Joining the ACC and getting out of the Orange Bowl are two separate things kind of joined at the hip. Both have proved unfavorable to UM football.

We are literally a .500 program since this two things have happened. We’ve also won 2 bowl games. We have more in common with Duke and Vanderbilt than Alabama and Clemson so get comfy and enjoy it.

Yeah. Because the majority, BUT NOT ALL, of Cane good ol' boys are acting like those good ol' boy/good ol' girl HAYSEED CornSUCKER fans! LOL Oh. And one more notion. The Cornsucker " powers that be " paid that SMALL TOWN good ol' boy SEVEN MILLION PER SEASON. LMFAO
 
I hate the term “battered Wives syndrome” but that is what most of this fan base has at this point. And in a way I don’t blame them but I do take pity. Unfortunately they will never be happy. Until the end of the journey and will still find something to complain about.

Even when Richt won 10 games they didn’t enjoy it and they’d come on the boards and say “but it won’t last”, “we never win the big one”. And then when we lost they’d say “see I told you.”


if they don’t see immediate results right away the coach sucks and everyone sucks. What they refuse to accept is that the only way out of this is to earn our way out with hard work.

For some reason our fan base thinks that by not supporting the team through tough times they are supporting the team. And things will magically improve by their lack of presences at game or donatation. But then they clamor for the administration to go out and pay a premium for a staff (who they won’t support after they lose their 1 game). Which is so backwards I don’t even want to waste my time on it, but I use it as an example to show how backwards some are.

Point is block the annoying posters and only read the threads that you want.

Why would you expect anything since we started playing annually?

8 wins a side during that time. Tied up, goes either way typically.

Bottom line, we aren't better than UNC anymore. Both sides have new coaches, one with a lot more experience.

At Chapel Hill, series is split as well.

Yes, most live in the past saying we should expect to win. I do expect to win down the road, but many holes need to be filled and there's going to be growing pains. Yes, they have a lot of the same issues going on that we do, but they were at home, and even though we statistically dominated, they were coming off a hard fought win. We just made two too many mistakes. Could've gone either way.

joined in August........you might want to consider bowling???..The image is....... of a struggling Cane program, trying to win games.
What do we need to get over, more than striving to become a better team?.

I **** on posters who joined in 2018 and after, but I take solace in the fact that 99% of those chumps never stepped foot in the OB and never celebrated our greatest wins. You ****ers don’t deserve the greatness that was the Canes. We’ll get there again, but I hope you ****ers have Saban load all over your faces when it happens...czzzzunts!

Our fans are starting to sound like Notre Dame fans in the early and mid-2000s. Low on bowl wins, low on wins, a few marquee competitive games, a carousel of coaches, and a bunch of fans talking about wins that happened before most of our players were born. And actually other than a couple of years in the beginning of the 2000s we haven't been very good since the early 90s.
